Godbound Character Sheet by Pablo Licata d12damage

Godbound Character Sheet by Pablo Licata d12damage Not bad, but if the default character sheet is too plain, I feel that this one goes a bit too far in the other direction, making it a bit cumbersome. I feel a 2 or 3 page sheet would be just about right. Also, it was a little dissapointing that the PDF wasn't form-fillable.

Aberrant Codex: Aberrant Allies

Aberrant Codex: Aberrant Allies An Endzeitgeist.com review The freshman offering of Cobalt Sages Creations clocks in at 34 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page ToC, 5 pages of SRD, leaving us with 26 pages of content, so let’s take a look, shall we? This review was move up in my reviewing queue at the request of my patreons as a prioritized review. We begin this supplement with a brief categorization of types of aberration – not in the mechanical context, mind you, but in the context of what constitutes a classification as “aberration” – alien biology, reality-warping and artificially (or oddly- created) creatures are identified as leitmotifs present here. Now, aberrations are much-beloved as antagonists for obvious reasons, but this book is thoroughly devoted to aberrations as allies, a venue only rarely explored beyond the realms of evil or insane PCs, and as such, represents an interesting deviation from the expectations and preconceptions inherent in the type. The most obvious forms ...

The Genius Guide to Vampire Magic

The Genius Guide to Vampire Magic An Endzeitgeist.com review This little supplement clocks in at 7 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement, leaving us with 3 pages of content, so let’s take a look! This supplement begins with 9 different magic items for vampires: Biteless bite is a glass bottle that contains liquid distilled from vampire blood, which nets a +4 bonus to Dex and Str, darkvision, and blood drain, but also a vampires susceptibility to holy symbols, which may hold the characters at bay, and they are dazzled and sickened by direct sunlight. However, after 24 hours, blood thirst kicks in, requiring a save – the DC increases by +2 for every 24 hours thereafter, and on a failure, the character goes berserk. Having fed, the character becomes a vampire under the control of the vampire that made this elixir. Slaying the creator dispels the effect. Claws of the lycanthrope are gloves that net claw attacks (differentiating between Small and Medium size), and they are prope...

The One Ring - Laughter of Dragons

The One Ring - Laughter of Dragons If you are after six interlinked adventures set in the Lonely Mountain area which concern the Dwarves of Erebor and the Men of Dale, this is the book you want (you might alsp want the *Erebor* supplement, but it isn't necessary). The adventures can stand alone or you may prefer to make them a plot arc within your campaign, starting in the year 2956. With Smaug dead, there's a new air of hope in the region and this doesn't suit Sauron one little bit, especially with that meddling wizard Gandalf interfering... so he has hatched another plot. These adventures are all about thwarting various aspects of his latest scheme. We learn of some of the key players behind these schemes and a bit more about the overarching plot... but if you want to run the adventures as stand alone ones, that's perfectly possible too. The party may never see the full picture, but they'll certainly have an influence on affairs nevertheless. There are suggestions of how to weave the adventures into your campaign, ...

Dungeon Full of Monsters Preparing for running this one. Usually i do not like prep work but this is the most hilarious thing i did for a long time. The Monsters and Places are unique, funny, surprising and full of wonder. Whe have a Dragon Cave, a gate to Hell, the Unicorn Burial Ground and a lot more (around 50). Whats not to love about this? Thousands of things for the Players to learn. Like: Ooh a Magic Mirror, its a shortcut to ... Great. Later: Oh its not always a shortcut to... Where the hell are we? First i thought that the Random Encounters are way to hard. But after a close look i find out that a lot of the Random Encounters don't care much about a small group of adventures. The inhabitants of the Dungeon have their own Problems, own needs and own enemies. Lot of room to join sides, play them against each other, time for adventure. There are Monsters, Fractions, Groups, Cults, criminal syndicates.. There is a list of 100 things you find whe looting the bodies of the Deat cult! Like a soft v...

All adventures have some fairly "standard" prepared Charakters. There are a nice mix of Genres. Ironsworn

Ironsworn Ironsworn solves the two primary problems that I always had with solo RPG'ing: pacing and goal-setting. I always wrestled with what I was supposed to do next and really needed some guidance. I had tried to adapt modules to solo play by sort of self-hiding information. This ultimately proved unsatisfying, though. Ironsworn fixes that problem by instituting the vow as the primary driver of the story. There must always be at least one vow (i.e. quest), and more tend to crop up as you go along. As an example, my character might be trying to gather information in a village, and the move results in someone willing to help me, but only for a price. That 'price' will likely become its own vow, even if it's only a short-term one so that I can get the information to proceed with my main quest. The second thing I wrestled with was knowing when I was ready to move on to the next stage of the story. I mean, when solo-ing, how do you decide when your quest is done? How do you know if that tough m...

Dice Deck - Earth I'm planning to use this with my various dice based boardgames to cut down a little on the randomness. Instead of rolling a dice, it would be cool to have a hand of these cards and pick round to round. The way they have laid out multiple dice on each card should make this widely applicable to a variety of games. The themes are also really cool - be sure to check those out and pick the right one for you.

Unbound Rulebook This is the best roleplaying game system for designing your own stories. The low page count means you can quickly reference whatever you need in the heat of the moment and reduces rules-lawyering, meaning you never losing momentum in the game itself. I enjoy playing this system over all others now.
