They Met In A Tavern is a nice intermediate level adventure that provides quick setup for a GM to host a self-contained adventure using four pre-generated characters.
The adventure and conflict initiates in a tavern and involves players using their intuition and knowledge of their character back-stories to hopefully help defeat a worthy opponent. It reads well and provides a decent framework for GMs to either use alone for quick play or roll into one of their larger campaigns as a side-quest like situation. The author nicely provides suggestion for the latter use.
For an old school adventure, it would have been nice if it included a drawing inside of the artifact, creatures, and villain involved. I would have given it 5 stars if so and suggest that the author considers that in a possible future version.
