Having read through Shadow on the Sea I have to say that I am very excited to run this adventure. It captures the sense of cosmic horror, which is what we all want in a Cthulhu adventure, beautifully and the overwhelming feeling of claustraphobic despair as the story unfolds is excellent.
I really like the setting of the Kentish fishing Village and the details in the adventure describing the area and its history are brilliant and add a lot of depth for both the Keeper to work with and for grounding the investigators into the story.
The pace of the adventure is well laid out and there is a nice mix of character interaction, investigation and action. The maps and handouts are brilliant and make the job for the Keeper a lot easier. The descriptions in the adventure set a great atmosphere and allow the investigators to really picture the people and places that they encounter not to mention the lurking horrors that await them.
I would recommend this to any lovers of the Call of Cthulhu RPG, it certainly delivers on all the things that I love about it. Go to Kent for the Sunshine, once you are there you may stay forever.
