?U.S.H.E.R. Dossiers #1? is 7 page pdf from RpgObjects and the 75th release in the Modern Dispatch line. The Dispatch Line was created by RpgObjects and now has a rotating arrangement of four companies that provide content to modern/future gamers on a weekly basis. Each release seems to target and support one or their existing product lines or supplement some existing area of the modern srd.

According to the product description ?Note: The agency featured in this book is best used in conjunction with Blood and Circuits and Blood and Circuits: Cybernetics.? This is both a benefit and a negative, indeed Blood and Circuits and Blood and Circuits: Cybernetics are both needed to get full use of this product, but it should be noted (and isn?t ? though it does say Blood and Secrets on the cover if you squint at the adcopy) that you will absolutely need Blood and Secrets as well.

This product is an expansion to the Blood and Secrets line and presents two new prestige classes for Blood and Secrets, a new agency, its special unit, information on its leader, a new suit of armor and a supercomputer. Supersoldier is the 1st prestige class in the book and it represents heavy hitter of the agency (gaining weapon focus, weapon specialization and the ability to provide a tactical bonus to initiative as well as agency training at levels 1,3,5). Superspy is the 2nd prestige class designed to present the elite agency assassin (gaining sneak attack bonuses as well as agency training at levels 1,3,5). Overall, the prestige classes are a little underwhelming as many of the advanced classes in Blood and Secrets offers more interesting abilities. I think the most disappointing is the superspy since its abilities can all be earned through agency training and thus doesn?t bring anything new to the table. When designing a character you could Fast 3/Covert Agent 4/Superspy 5 and by focusing on Wetworks (from Blood and Secrets) it is possible that this character could be dealing +7d6 in sneak attack damage for an average of 24.5 meaning most sneak attack will bypass opponents MAS.

Medusa is the codename of the new agency introduced. Medusa started as a special project of the U.S.H.E.R. organization and resulted in the development of a sentient supercomputer. It is headed by one of U.S.H.E.R.?s former top researchers who the agency tried to get rid of, feeling betrayed by U.S.H.E.R he now actively works to destroy the U.S.H.E.R. organization. The membership requirements to join Medusa are an allegiance to the organization and a feat selection (other agencies have this simple of entrance requirements in Blood and Secrets). A medusa special unit is introduced called the ?shadow soldiers?. A special unit is a mechanic that organizes a force of agents, it provides a limited number of benefits and requires certain qualifications (like an advanced class) but is not a level it?s a supplement on to of class selection. The leader of Medusa is detailed (something not done in Blood and Secrets) though it draws on material from the Blood and Circuits line (I wonder if it couldn?t have been done in two versions?) and his two cybernetic pets Ophelia and Laertes.

Okay, I?m assuming they are his pets, it doesn?t really say. Nor does it say what the animals are? Lets see medium size, 12HD, scent, bite ? I?m thinking a pair of genetically modified superwolves. Yep, superwolves.

Shadow armor for the shadow soldiers is detailed as the ?Medusa? herself, the sentient supercomputer. Using Medusa to here fullest requires blood and circuits.

Layout and editing are well done. The open game content declaration is clear. <br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Medusa is an interesting antagonist for a Blood and Secrets game. Editing an layout is solid. Open Game Content declartion is clear. Nice to include the head of Medusa.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: PRCs don't offer much to aspire to. Product should indicate it "requires Blood and Secrets" Would have like to see non-"Blood and Circuit" variants Some missing details (see superwolves"<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Acceptable<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>
