Ptolus Deluxe City Map
Publisher: SkeletonKey Games

For all of you ptolus fans... this is a must-have!

I use this to pick out smaller areas within the city, much easier to handle than the large poster map from the Ptolus book! So if you own the Ptolus book and think, "maybe I dont need this..." well, maybe you do!

Another map from Ed Bourelle of very high quality!

If you are a fan of Ptolus... if you are a fan of Ed Bourelle... then this is a product to buy!

I probably wont use these maps as intended, mostly because I dont use tiles, but they are very inspiring and gives a very good picture of what Monte Cook intends for the Ghul's Labyrinth.

These are maps of very high quality!

Summerland

This setting (and game system) looks to be very promising. I have yet to read through all of it, but thats no reason not to write a small review of what I've seen/read thus far.

What captivated me about this setting was the mysteries and the connection to nature. It reminded me very much of the books of Robert Holdstock, where a huge forest places an important role as well. There is something strange here that I hope to one day explore!

The cover art is amazing!

17 Magic Rings
Publisher: The Le Games

Well, I picked up this little product to see what was out there in the world of d20 rings, but this product does not really deliver much. There is a lot of strange rules that I am not familiar with, like the Ring of Concentration which DOES NOT require Forge Ring but some other obscure means of crafting magical universal items?

When that is said, there was a few of the rings that I liked, they are pretty standard, like the firebane ring and the ring of darksight. There was very little story to them, which is something I appreciate and the whole appendix in the back, with the spells and stuff seems like a bit too much. I could have done without it, as I already have the PHB, no need to spend money on it again.

I wont mention the pictures in greater detail as they made very little sense and could have easily been without.

LIKED: A few of the rings.

DISLIKED: Sorry, but the rest.

QUALITY: Disappointing

VALUE: Disappointed
Behind the Spells: Magic Missile

I really had no idea what to expect from this product, only that it might somehow give me a new view on an old spell, being the Magic Missile, but how did it do?

Well, it has some nice flavor, and it does what it proposes, which is to give you a few new views on this old spell, but somehow you are left with the feeling that there could have been more to it.

The variant spell is a good little crunchy bit and I can easily see a use for that one, although its mostly an RP spell and not really useful in a battle, but there could have been a few other crunchy bits, and perhaps the Magic Missile spell itself.

LIKED: The flavor and story

DISLIKED: the size, basically

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
