Ancient Worlds - Megalith Circle

An easy-to-build 3D stone circle on a six-inch square base, all items with layer options in the PDF file, so you can toggle between three different 2D landscape textures and model stone colours, and even add a squared one-inch grid to the base if required. But there's also a curious circular symbol scribed on each stone, and thanks to a series of additional layers, these can be made to glow blue, green or red. These colour options are worth exploring fully, because I found they're not quite the same as each other, and by activating more than one symbol-colour layer together, you can actually achieve a further range of subtly different colours and effects. Plus of course, you could use them as individual standing stones rather than "just" in a ring. An excellent addition to the Lord Zsezse Ancient Worlds range.

Like most of LZW’s 3D models, the Megalith Circle is beautifully illustrated and looks great on the table. If you’re willing to put in the time to build the pieces carefully, you’ll have a really nice set of 3D terrain. The only question you’ll need to ask yourself is whether the considerable time investment in building the pieces is worth the use you’ll get out of them. You might find yourself building this set repeatedly as you turn the various layers on and off to get different effects. If you’re interested in this set, you probably ought to take a look at the Ancient Worlds Bundle instead of buying this set individually.

The layers make the appearance versatile so that it can change with the story line. The instructions for assembly are clear and simple. It can also be used in any campaign which might have this type of location. I think this is a wonderful item that will turn up time and again in my adventures(but not so often as to be expected when it does. Where would be the fun of that?)

It was a free model, how could you go wrong? The construction method was simple, and the art more than satisfactory.

The Megalith Circle looks simple enough for the more clumsy paper modellers, like myself (thumbs the size of footballs). This would make ideal set piece for fantasy or horror campaigns in RPGs and would probably not go amiss on a sci-fi battlefield, like WH40K.

Really nice work, Lord Zsezse!
