This book is beautifully produced and the rules seem to capture the Middle-earth feel better than any rpg to date. Not played yet, but I'm itching to.

Art Pack 1: Fruit and Veggies for Dundjinni, Fractal Mapper, and CC3
Publisher: Scrying Eye Games

A large selection of nicely drawn pieces of fruit and veggie bitmaps. The focus is pretty specific, but contains everything you might need within that range.

The bitmaps are very small and can't be blown up very far, but that's because they are created to match floorplan resolution maps without any adjustment from the user. For CC3 (which is freely scaleable), I'd have preferred a higher resolution, but I can see the advantage of not having to rescale anything in other software packages.

You certainly get your money's worth in healthy food with this one. ;)

The models are inexpensive, beautiful, easy to assemble, sturdy as paper models go and look gorgeous on the table. What more could you want? I've assembled the whole town over a few days and just got my second set. Awesome!

Starmada Core Rulebook
Publisher: Majestic Twelve Games
by Ralf S. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 06/06/2008 10:06:06

The rulebook for Starmada AE is very well laid out, clearly written and very easy to pick up. We had no problems with consctructing a few ships (thanks to the spreadsheet available online), assembling two small fleets (scratch-built) and playing a fun 2-2.5 hour game. Good work and well worth the money!

A short but nicely thought-out, logical and sensible adventure, including several very beautiful maps. I haven't used the Fantasy Ground material yet, but it looks well-organized and easy to use. Well worth the money.

LIKED: Beautiful maps, clear layout and good organization.

DISLIKED: Language a little awkward (non-native language author), a few typos.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
An excellent rule and sourcebook on medieval Japan - I had much fun perusing it. Layout and organization were very good, art generally good and very fitting. Reminiscent in flavor and detail of FGU's old "Bushido" but much improved in style and coherence.

LIKED: Excellent and extensive background information on the setting.

DISLIKED: Don't care so much about the rules.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Torg Revised & Expanded
Publisher: Ulisses Spiele
by Ralf S. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 06/17/2005 00:00:00

Very nice to see Torg back in action. The new rulebook is nicely and clearly laid out (with only a few errors which the publishers are quick to correct with replacement pages). Artwork is old-stuff from previous Torg publications but well-selected and nicely placed.

Many clarifications and having many of the additional rules (like new skills) in one place is a real boon to the odl-time Torg GM.

A solid thumbs up on this one. Keep the good work coming!

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
