It's obvious how much thought went into producing this product so I'm going to do my best to review it here. Please note, I view this work quite highly and think of it as a good watermark for what authors can do with the DMs Guild program.
Chapter 1: A handbook or guide to what bards were historically, what they are now, what that means in the context of D&D, and what options one has as a bard in the game.
Chapter 2: 6 new bard colleges are available and 5 new feats are available.
College of the Spheres plays out with abilities that provide flexibility to how the magic of a bard functions, all themed to mathematics and music.
College of the Silver Pen works on making the most effective writer a bard can be, giving them much stronger curses and even write poems that grant inspiration to those that read it.
College of the Sacred Yew focuses on getting in touch with nature, learning many tricks from druids.
College of the Eternal Veil attempts to empower bards by giving them much much greater access to the magic of other classes.
College of the Song Immemorial turns your songs into truly moving epics, able to sway the opinions of others.
Troupe of the Shadowdancers allows shadows to become illusions in the gifted hands of a bard.
The feats are all quite comparable to what one finds in the core rulebooks.
Arcane Visage grants you more wizardly abilities, while functioning like a bardic version of prestidigitation.
Battledancer provides a new way to fight using your charisma for limited periods.
Diplomat is a feat I'm surprised wasn't already in the PHB, and does what it says in the name.
Melodic Casting grants you tricks while casting spells.
Virtuoso turns you into a sort of minor celebrity.
Chapter 3: This chapter adds epic options for the new colleges to be used with the Epic Characters rulebook from the DMs Guild. If you do not possess or use that rulebook, three new epic boons round out the chapter.
Chapter 4: 3 new magic items round out the book.
Diplomat's Immunity Very rare leather armor often used by diplomats for situations where diplomacy might fail them.
Sachel of the Combat Medic A powerful, yet tastefully limited, legendary healing item.
Singing Sword As with the holy avenger, the bards need a similarly legendary weapon for their own: the Singing Sword.
Overall the book is excellent. The classes all feel balanced (I've yet to playtest any), the feats feel like they'd be right at home in my PHB and the magic items are all balanced (although very high level). I can praise the book much, but I can find only one critism: there should be a few new spells added to complete the whole thing. Even if it was just a singular spell to represent each of the six new colleges.
