This is absolutely a tremendous deal. Scrying Eye Games has put out a product full of all the small vessels, rowboats, wreckage, or fishing vessels a game might need. The art is high-quality, and there were no issues in printing or cutting these out (I used a medium cardstock, which seems to be just fine).

If you need maps of ships for any campaign--pseudo-medieval fantasy, sword-and-sorcery, Viking Age, or even into early Age of Sail, do yourself a favor and check out the remainder of the Scrying Eye Games line. This is just a preview of the great plans and prices they offer.

This set features MANY small seacraft, and all are done with beautiful detail. Even things like floating barrels add to the fun.

What surprized me was with all of the beautiful artwork it was followed up by lousy layout. The ships are on a watery set of bases, and they look INCREDIBLE, however, some of the boats that are one inch wide by 4 inches long have the squares in bizarre places.

You would think that if you were going to have a small canoe 1"x4" that the tip of the bow would align with the edge of the first square, and the stern would align with the edge of the fourth square. Instead, the tip of the bow is about 1/4" in, and the stern is hanging over 3/4" (or there abouts).

I understand it is a free set, but these sets are supposed to show the quality of hte publisher's work. I think had the boats had LESS per page, then they could have aligned them differently, and REALLY had an awesome set.

I would have liked to give this set the full 5/5 stars, because of the truly amazing artwork, but the alignment just looks off in my opinion.

I believe this collection of rafts, small boats and sloops to be a phenomenal value. I mean, HELLO, this product is FREE. In this case, FREE does not mean that the product is damaged or in some way bad. The art is beautiful. FREE is GOOD all by itself. But when you add the value of something FREE to the value of something both nice looking and completely functional, then FREE is MOST EXCELLENT! That is what Small Ships 1: Launches and Rafts is. MOST EXCELLENT!

I found these boats when I was looking for something to pimp out the game Dead Man's Island and I really can't over that they are free. Download them and check them out now, why not?

A nice set of color ship plans for naval adventures. This set includes several small rafts and rowboats, along with some flotsam and jetsam, and two connecting shore maps for when your characters go ashore to catch a few rays.
