This little supplement provides a great way to add firearms to your D&D 4e campaign without unbalancing it or making more traditional fantasy ranged weapons obsolete. Author Matt James gives well-balanced statistics for nine specific firearms, and includes three magical firearms to boot. He also includes four powers related to the use of firearms, but doesn’t actually explain how DMs should allow characters to access these powers; since a simple ranged basic attack covers firing a firearm, these shouldn’t just be “free access” powers like the basic attacks. Although only four pages long, the supplement suffers noticeably from grammatical and typographical errors.
