A huge variety of figures, covering subjects often left out of other similar sets. The zombies and survivors here show evidence of their former lives, in their dress and equipment. Several age categories, for zombies and survivors. Pets, wild animals, horses. Bikes, motorbikes, cars, an RV. Also includes larger vehicle reference images, with the seating plans laid out; very useful for having at the side of the game table, to remind yourself "Who was sat in that seat?". These should save a lot of in-game debates of "Wasn't me!".

Tons of re-useability for any modern horror game. The pdf also has a layer facility, to allow you to print out smaller numbers of specific figures, for when you don't want the full sheet.

Even if you're not currently running a zombie game, this product will make you WANT to run one.

Wow. That's the only thing I could think to myself after I looked through this set of paper counters for War of the Dead or any zombie game you might run. These are so awesome. The counters include everything from survivors from all walks of life to zombie babies to vehicles to cover.

The art is good. It is a little cartoon-y, but not in a bad way. The sheer variety of survivors and zombies is impressive. They even include military type folks as allies or if you get really lucky and find some cool gear. The zombie are equally as diverse. The vehicles include burned out shells of cars, functioning looking vehicles, and large vehicles with spots for several player character counters. This is good for tactical situations and figuring out who gets pulled out of the side of the van and eaten. As a nice bonus, there are damage counters and cover that you can take up positions behind. I don't always use counters for Savage Worlds-based games, but this may persuade me to do it more. It's really cool. If you play zombie games and ever think you might need counters for tactical combat, buy these. They are really nice.

This set has a great selection of survivors, zombies, and soldiers, any of which would make great opponents, extras, mooks, or whatever NPC you might need for a modern zombie game. Best of all, I didn't notice any real repeats.

There are a lot of extras beyond the usual paper miniatures included in this set. There are bases for alternate 2d usage and a papercraft RV/camper. The inclusion of doors I found an interesting touch which would be good to use with dry erase type maps.

For those of you using it for Savage Worlds zombie settings (such as the War of the Dead itself) there are zombies in standard sized burst templates (good for getting the point across that there might just be too many zombies for the PCs to live through) and markers for Shaken, Wounded, and "on fire" status.

All told, this is a great set filled with a great selection of minis and the artwork is better than a lot of the other paper mini sets I've seen.

Highly recommended for your zombie needs.

In anticipation of my upcoming review of The War of the Dead, let's take a look at The Paper Dead, the first series of paper figures for The War of the Dead.

First off, the figures can be folded trifold or bifold...and for mounted figures, you can make little slits in the vehicle and figure to slide them on. The PDF is layered, so you can "turn off" figures that you don't need to print. That's not quite as cool as Precis Intermedia's customizable sets, but I don't know of anything in the industry that matches those.

The Paper Dead offers three pages of unique zombies of all sorts...page one offering 24 completelty unique shamblers, including priests, mechanics and grocery shoppers still pushing their carts.

The next page offers another 24 shamblers, with a couple in wheelchairs and an assortment of zombie kids, as well as zombies missing their legs.

The third page of zombies offers some very creepy variants meant to be teasers for upcoming adventures such as hulking Ragers, Sprinters, Generals and very creepy zombie newborns.

Six zombie swarm templates are offered, four small, one medium and one large, when you just wanna overlay a mess of zombies.

We then get an assortment of survivors, starting with janitors, street walkers, retirees, expectant mothers and double amputee war veterans.

The next batch offers a Shaun of the Dead tribbute, a goth chick with a chainsaw, a shotgun wielding preacher, a sheriff, biker gang leader and firefighter.

The next page is filled with "generic" types, such as bikers, militia, soldiers and special ops.

Various animals are included on the next page, from horses to feral dogs and guard dogs to ferrets(!)

Motorcycles and bicycles follow.

The next page features counters for cars and the like, and then we get a scale model RV...including extra bits you can add onto the RV for a "zombie plow" and to "zombie proof" the RV!

A series of bases and door markers are included, as are special status markers for the Savage Worlds effects.

This is one of the coolest figure flats sets I have ever seen. If you are running War of the Dead, or any zombie RPG using any kind of minis, I recommend this product highly.

Zombies ! , Zombies ! and more Zombies !

Also survivors (good and bad), a good selection of Cars , pickup.s , motor bikes even a motor home complete with a internal lay out.

All you would need to run a Zombie game for any system not just the very good "War of the Dead" it was made for.

Highly recommended.
