One of the major criticisms I had of the oWoD product line was a lack of concentrated ‘module’-style support, which is why I have been a big fan of the SAS titles. ‘The Hungry Streets’ offers a module that is easily adapted to an existing chronicle; used as a spring-board into a chronicle or used as a one-shot game. It is this adaptability that, given its’ price, makes it well worth the time to read it. The only caveat would be that this isn’t a simple ‘plug-and-play’ module. The Storyteller should invest some time before the game ensuring that they have read and understood some of the new rules introduced and have an idea of how they will pace the scenes. The NPCs backgrounds and motivations are well-developed, so it is essential spending some time to get into their heads and really portray them well. The rules and discussion on blood shortages and feeding complications give the title some long-term value; so this comes highly recommended.
