The Fall of Whitecliff

This module kicks some major butt. A small, tightly focused setting that drips with atmosphere and several hooks or developments that can be tied together in various ways? Count me in. I just love the way the surroundings come to life when one reads through all this, how you make connections between two or three details mentioned across several pages and think "Oh, so that's going to happen if the players to this... " On top of that there are several maps, notes on how to expand the adventure, trasure generators, monster tables... it really is a full package, which I've rarely seen on this scale with a privately made PWYW module.

One major flaw though is the jumbled layout on all pages with maps. Since any available space on those pages is packed with various text and notes, it makes it very hard to grasp the actual adventure, especially during play. I mean, come on, even without any skills and only a basic word processor you can do something that is a lot more easy on the eyes. In addition, the stats provided for major NPCs aren't nearly interesting enough to warrant the inclusion, I feel nobody would have been upset if instead there were links to the PFSRD. This is however not enough of a problem to detract from the really cool adventure that lies behind it all, and I can only recommend that every GM gives this one a chance.

Inked Adventures: Large Dungeon Entrance
Publisher: Inked Adventures

This is a very nice addon to the Basic Set from Inked Adventures.

I put it into a large dungeon my players explored and this very special entrance made them very curious - and very cautious as well (with good reason, but thats another story...). The style of this large entrance door is somewhat "generic mystique", so it fits into all sorts of dungeon environments without sticking out too much. The size is very good for miniature gameplay (I am using standard D&D miniatures) and let medium sized characters feel small, s it definitely makes a difference compared to the ordinary doors.

I recommend this to everyone looking for something nice for the boss room, the not-so-secret sidequest chamber or just some flavour between one standard dungeon issue door and another.

Inked Adventures: Curved Section Supplemental Page

This supplement is very useful if you use the Inked Adventures' Basic Pack (or the free Sample Pack) for playing official modules and adventures. Many of the dungeons found in those materials have some big towers, round chambers, or something similar to a throne hall. You need this free supplement badly if you want to recreate those dungeons with Inked Adventures (something I can only recommend to everyone). Luckily this is a freebie, so no rip-off here. I like this product very much and put it into effective use during a game playing D&D's The Sunless Citadel.

Awesome sample package. The rough comic style and the ancient font bot are an excellent match for the type of game I like to play. I especially love the perspective of the walls, which give a three-dimensional impressionand increase spatial awareness . I am looking forward to the final product!

The Genius Guide to Loot 4 Less Vol. 1: Armor and Weapons
Publisher: Rogue Genius Games

This PDF is an awesome little friend to any DM creating treasures and item rewards for his low-level players. The new +1/2 bonus is a nice idea to keep prices down and fiddle with minor effects and bonuses on the gear that you don't have in D&D's or Pathfinder's core rules. Especially if you are playing E6 D&D/Pathfinder or similar "grim" d20 variants, this PDF provides cool stuff that feels magical without being the same old +2 whatever item. I highly recommend it!
