Quite a good 'tool' for the price.
Gives some pretty good ideas when you generate the various options/headings at the top of the 'app'.
You have Character, Name, Motive, Family, Opinion, Appearance, Simple Character, Tattoo, and About.
Quite helpful with what it produces.

16 pages, 14 are the content.
Good descriptions, etc, of the coins.
The coins seem to print out OK.
Could be a little sharper/contrast.
Overall, pretty good.

This PDF is 8 pages, 6 are the content.
Page 2 & 3: random tavern name generator.
Page 4: tavern features (good).
Page 5 details NPCs (pretty good).
Page 6 & 7: Brawling and example patrons.
All in all, pretty good.
And it's free! (What more could you ask for?)

Out of 52 pages, 45 are the content.
Quite similar to WEG's D6 sysyetm, but using D8's instead.
Page 18 is handy, as it shows the meaning of the dice icons.
Having played Star Wars D6 some time ago, this system seems a little familiar.
It does show some promise.
Artwork: hand drawn, seems OK.
Frontier describes 'The Commonwealth', with it's 9 peoples.
There is a red border on most of the pages that might use up a bit of the ink (at a guess).
There are 6 character sheets at the back (5 pre-made for the adventure, and 1 blank).
A recommended purchase.

A 10 page PDF (9 are the content).
Some good factual data on the device, where and what it might be.
Also Call of Cthulhu ideas.
Definitely worth £2.06/$2.95

At 32 pages, 28 are the content.
The ezine contents are:
a small dungeon, which can easily be expanded upon.
A new undead hazard to harass your players.
New weapon enchantments.
Creating Beastling characters and NPCs (feline, canine, etc).
Plot-hooks and encounter ideas while on the road.
Some nice artwork throughout the PDF.
There is also a separate colour cover (nice); and a handout.
At £1.76/$2.50, it's worth a look.

Out of 80 pages, 79 are the content.
System: 2D10 +/- modifiers.
Some might feel that the system suffers from 'mechanics bloating' as the system encompasses every possible genre, etc.
Some players will think the system gives a lot of granularity (rules and character creation).
The PDF has plenty of colour throughout.
The 2 page character sheet is B&W.
There are 9 manipulations types (abilities): Physique, Deftness, Quickness, Fitness, Perception, Mind, Intelligence, Charisma, Luck.
Characters have 41 points to spread to those listed above.
The core rules are £12.50/$17.99, and 340 pages.
For free, it's definitely worth looking at.

Out of 415 pages, 411 are the content.
The table of contents is 8 pages long.
The system gives a lot of player granularity.
There are hundreds of pages of rules, which migth deter beginners, and maybe even GMs and player's who have played for a few years.
This is not a lite system; and that's not saying it's a bad thing.
For players who like highly detailed characters and rules; try this one; the rules practically cover everything/every situation.
The character sheet is 4 pages (page 2 is highly detailed).
There are a few pieces of colour art throughout the PDF.
Magic is covered in another book (294 pages).
The system is 2d10 +/- modifiers.
At £2.46/$3.54, it's worth looking at.

It does as it says on the label: quick play.
12 pages, 10 are the content.
The character sheet is half a page (P12).
The system is quad stat (Body, Mind, Life & Will).
Tasks: 2d6+skill level plus or minus difficulty.
A pertty good frame with a fair bit of covering at a good price; unlike some that charge £10-£11/$16 for something similar.
You can add more (items, skills, etc) to the system depending on the theme the GM and players are using (fantasy, WWII, sci-fi, etc).
£1.21/$1.74
Recommended.

Out of 48 pages, 46 are the content, including the introduction.
A variety of different covers (colour) that look pretty good.
Errors: only one I've seen so far (P6: pre-war professions): it says roll d220 (I'd like to see that dice).
97% of the WWII pictures are American in source. I saw 1 French (resistance), 3 others that I believe were 1 African (desert war, possibly north Africa), 1 German, the other picture showed a group of Asian partisans.
All are B&W and clear.
Some pictures of the other nations might have been welcome (British, Japanese, and other nationalities perhaps), to give the players a better 'mind picture' of their players or opponents (but that, I'm guessing, would take more time and work).
Players can use the internet for more pictures, etc to give them a better idea of the other nationalities involved (and there were many).
Ranks (P12) only shows American ranks, no other nationalities. Will need to Google those methinks, in case any players want ranks for British, German, etc.
Weapons: Generic. No lists of the many different weapons used by the nations involved; but still good.
Some weapons have a dice usage that decreases down 1 level if a 1-2 is rolled. Not bad.
Page 45 give you the phonetic alphabet (good). This should certainly help the players in certain situations.
Page 3: Kilroy was here! Funny.
1 page devoted to the jeep (Willys). Other vehicles are handled generically.
Equipment (P14) is slightly covered, the list would be quite long. Twilight 2000 by GDW is one example.
As for encumbrance, you could use the D&D 3.0 (p142), 3.5 (p162) or even Pathfinder (P171) if you wanted to go 'deeper' into what each soldier is carrying (rations, water, medi-packs, etc).
Healing (P32), seems good. OofA I'm guessing is Out of Action?
Overall, it's quite good just as it is, or the GM and players can add more to it (equipment, etc); but that might slow the action down a bit.
For £2.08/$3.00, it's definitely worth getting. Recommended.

Thank you for your comments, I am working to make updates. I am working on a more detailed expanded hardback. |

156 pages, 153 are the content.
The stats are Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma.
Page 6 & 51 has a TAAC0 (To-Hit Armour Class 0): should be THAC0?
Hulks and Horrors can be described as D&D/AD&D in space (with the THAC0).
It really is well detailed, with sections on classes (Pilot, Soldier, Psyker, Hovering Squid, Omega Reticulan, and Bearman); Psychic powers, Equipment, Weapon, Armour, Grenades, Protective Devices, Power sources, Drugs, Computerised Devices, Goods & Services.
The next section continues with fleshing out your character (name, background, appearance).
After that, we have Environmental hazards, Foot travel, Food & water, Experience, Combat, Spaceships, Ship combat, Exploration, The Surveyor's Guild, Generating star systems, Ruins & wrecks, Loot, Monsters (creating them as well), Dungeon Mastering, Alternate concepts, Tweaking the rules, Being a Red shirt (P145-146), Converting to and from other RPGs. I think I've covered everything.
All this for free!
The softback book is £13.22/$18.75.
I remember purchasing a RPG system costing about £10.30/$15.99 last year, and it had nowhere NEAR anything as much as this in it's contents (rather bare actually).
But H&H on the other hand, is quite 'full', and can be increased in content with items from similar systems/RPGs.
'Borrowing' other bits from other OSR RPGs should be easy to add to H&H.
Well worth obtaining; you'd be daft not to.

8 Pages, 5 are the content.

Also 4 calibres are also stated: .50 cal, 9mm, 5.56, and 7.62, all purchased in batches of 50.
