I have never used paper miniatures before but I needed a large group and so tried this set I as thought it would be much cheaper. The images are excellent & varied & now I am now totally hooked I have now purchased several other sets.

I just grabbed this as my first trial for this type of product.

I like the varying poses of the Lizardmen and the only thing I wish I could do is to have the background be transparent rather than white. I will use these images to create icons for my game run through Klooge and so the transparent background would allow them to blend in better on the map.

Overall happy with what I got and I will explore more sets as I need them.

Lizardman Set is a Paper miniatures for Fantasy Roleplaying Games supplement from Arion Games. They include mounted and ground warriors. There are 10 vertical folding basic lizard men as well as 10 horizontal tri-fold lizard men. There are also special lizard men in both varieties including Chieftain, Savant and Hatchling. There is also a human on his knees called Lizard Food.

There are different types of mounts - slow and lumbering type lizard mount as well as a quick and limber type. There are both the vertical fold and horizontal fold of these as well.

The art is computer generated 3D images which gave the artist freedom to show the creature at any angle. It is not bad, but when printed out on black and white, the detail he obviously worked hard to work in the images kind blends in. It may look better on color printer.

Included in the PDF are a variety of similarly rendered map tiles one can print out. Each is inset in a grid pattern perfect for use in D&D and other RPG systems. This set depicts several locations in some caves.

I have always liked this option to buying expensive miniatures. If you are strapped for cash, I recommend buying a few of these PDFs and printing them out on hard stock paper. The map tiles would look great as well if printed out on color. They can be easily used for any cave delving adventure.

What would a gamer be without imagination? But in combat situations imagination often isn't enough. That's when I use paper miniatures. Why paper? Because they are inexpensive, easy to carry and to handle. I don't need the accuracy of a tabletop for a rpg combat, but it should just look good. And here comes the Arian Games Paper Miniatures, especially in this case the Lizardmen Set. What you find on this 3 pages (1st one is the cover) is amazing. 14 different Lizzardmen on foot, 2 mounted Lizzardmen on some kind of dinosaurs and also a human victim. All ot them great and realistic looking cgi images as twofold and threefold standups. Yes, I'm very enthusiastic about that set, it's one of the best paper miniatures I've ever seen and I own a lot of different sets. Arion Games has miniatures for nearly every setting. It's always worth to look here if you search for something special.
