I bought this together with the British compendium so read my review of that one as all that applies there is relevant here. However there is one this that make the German compendium an absolute must buy for any Axis player: the Maus, 180 tonnes of uber gaming goodness.

The Russians may have had the most tanks but the Germans had the coolest.

Well the German Vehicle Compendium is exactly what it says. It is 66 pages of vehicle stats for tanks, AFVs, SP guns, transports, and more. The selection is very good and there are numerous colored photos of well painted miniatures sprinkled throughout. If you play Germans (or against them) in WaW you will want to pick this guide up.

Agis hit this one out of the park! There is a ton of stuff in here that any German player would love to add to their arsenal. Given that Agis was instrumental in developing the Battlefield Evolution core rules, I think its safe to say this stuff is spot on from a rules perspective. The layout is extremely well done; not cluttered, easy to read, nice color pictures, and an attractive yet unassuming background layout. I'm eagerly awaiting the Soviet Compendium, and I don't even play Soviets!!

The WAW book was very good with loads of stats for vehicles, but not complete.

This compendium is exactly what was missing! Even some extra rules are included.

Great value for money too, including a printer friendly version and Unit Cards as well! It looks great with lots of inspiring pics and the extra info like common or not and years of use of the vehicles is very helpful indeed.

Keep up the good work. I will surely buy other compendiums if not all.

I purchased this ad on to WAW yesterday and after readig it I must say it is a very good expansion to the WAW rules ! You get stats for different kinds of trucks for example , so you can use bigger and smaller trucks then the ever repeating Opel Blitz . You get Stat for nearly all German vehicles from the Maus Typ VIII Tank to the smallest softskin! The Format is very nice as you get a picture of nearly every vehicle in the book in coloure! The best is that you get cards with all the stats for every vehicle ! This lets the game flow be quicker even when fielding many different vehicles
