This nearly 4 megabyte windows executable from www.pigames.net
is geared more for their own role playing systems than say, d20.
Since I do not have any experience with their games, I instead
looked at the user-interface of the dice roller.
The program has 7 tabs (one as an about screen, and six other
for selecting different games modes / dice methods). Five of
the methods use sliders, which look nice, but have no way
of being easily manipulated by the keyboard (you cannot tab
to the sliders once on the tab, you have to select a slider 1st
before moving it with your arrow keys).
I like that the program keeps a full log that you can copy the text from,
and I like that its free. I think it could be improved upon by giving the
user the option of using text input boxes or button instead of sliders.
As such, I will give the rating 1 above middle, because of the effort
of the Precis Intermedia to provide a free tool for their player-base.
D20 gamers would be better served "rolling-their-own" dice program
for windows, or using the freely available java download from
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm
