Excellent resource for anyone wishing to understand the structure of Lovecraft's stories and how to integrate them into purist games.

An excellent source of new monsters, all uniquely suited for the games set in the modern era. The authors did a good job in providing far more than just statistics for the creatures, with detailed and interesting histories, motivations and ways to integrate them into your games.

Call of Cthulhu is a favourite amongst my group, and this game takes the original concepts while drastically improving the mechanics and allowing for a more focussed investigative horror experience. I quite like the simplicity and the way the rules work to help the players deal with the small things to keep the story moving smoothly.

This scenario reduces the colour out of space to something more to akin to a DnD monster. The inevitability and incomprehensible motives/nature of the colour, what makes it interesting, is ignored in favour of a series of repetitive encounters. Running the scenario my players very quickly picked up on what to look for and it became a game of avoidance.
