I really like the info graphics included, easy to see what's being related. Also, like how it's lay out. Artwork is appealing and sets the right tone. Rules are well defined and explained in straight forward manner. I would have liked to have seen more enemies that demonstrated some of the conditions that were included in the demo.

The standouts of Mythcraft are the deathpoint system allowing character to really fight to the end, and how it has much more depth than 5E but still is fairly simple and intuitive to pick up!

I like how it goes over the basics of the game but I feel it needs more of a encounter to help show off the combat for both players and mcs to learn the game more unless I over looked it

Okay! So I love mythcraft, I’ve played a one shot here and there and am doing a small adventure right now and I actually love it! Lots of options, pretty easy to follow especially if you come from dnd 5e! My biggest problem is I feel like character creation can feel a little convoluted but I’ve also only ever played on vtt systems that hadn’t quite been built to support it. So that’s not even really a problem with the game itself but more so just me as a player lol, but the pay off is every character feels distinct and unique so it’s not really that much of a detraction. But once to get the ball rolling it’s actually super fun.

I’m hoping the new Kickstarter will offer some better/easier to understand sheets once they get some full integration into r20 and foundry at the very least. Overall a very fun game and pretty easy to pick up and play overall.

A really well done demo that gives a great example of one of the two major elements that makes Mythcraft a unique and dynamic system. You can watch Youtube videos and read summaries of how Mythcraft's Action Point system is different from other TTRPGs but this demo really shows how unique it is and how smoothly it runs. It also supplies some diverse characters for the demo so you can see how APs effect different weapons, talents, and especially magic. It is a great system that really shines in actual use, and a demo like this is a nice way to do that. Highly recommended way to try out the system before moving on to the core book, where you can learn about the other major unique element of the system: character creation/progression.

MythCraft the TTRPG is something unique among most other "D&D-like" games out there. Not only does the game have great diversity of choice, but the game sets itself apart by using an action point system that leads to tactical and a level of risk and reward style of play few it any other TTRPGs can muster. While the game is certainly a bit more complex than D&D 5e or other stripped down games, once you have the time to read and work through the book it becomes second nature and flows despite the complex look of it all. Will more stats than most games yet few are ever considered "dump stats", a robust skill system, the aforementioned action points, and even the lineage system, the game leads itself to bringing imagination to life. While I will say the first printing of the game can be a bit to digest, the upcoming reforged edition looks to both streamline the reading but also make the book flow better players both new and old. While not perfect, and nothing really is, the game gives the players choice and agency over their character in ways few if any other TTRPGs can, awakening the imagination and leading to some truly unique builds. And sure, you can take my review as something akin to being partial to the system, I challenge you to put my thoughts aside should you believe that and do some research on your own. Not every game or TTRPG is for everyone, but I have found few people that once they have had time to digest and get some explanation on the systems that will turn the system away. Give it a shot and you should see what I mean, especially when the reforged edition comes out after the BackerKit closes out later this month (January,2025).

MythCraft is by far my favourite TTRPG system that I have tried over 25+ years of gaming. It's got just the right amount of crunch with all the inuitive features you might need. Want character creation to include meaningful choices beyond first level? MythCraft is the system for you! Seriously, I sound like I'm being paid right now, but I promise you I am the one paying them for the privilege of using this system.

Mythcraft is a wonderful TTRPG. By far one of the easiest to understand and ready to play TTRPGs that I have played thus far. No pervious knowledge required to have a wonderful time!
