Excellent quality resource for a straight up Sword and Sorcery milieu sandbox in a desert culture setting. Enough material to keep a long form campaign running for a long time in a relatively compact 160 pages. I say compact because there is a remarkable richness of gameable content in this supplement relative to other sourcebooks I have read of similar or greater length. This is mainly due to the proficiency of the economic writing, which enables an enormous density of usable content, whilst remaining coherent and evocative. The flavour of the setting is relayed largely via this concrete content, rather than by text walls of exposition, which is still present where necessary but employed with a deft touch. Very much recommended, particularly for fans of open world emergent narrative gaming.
