All I can say, really, is fantastic! I've always liked the art packs from Shane and you really cannot beat the price; $10 for a great custom piece, just a bit more for it to be colored. And the turnaround was quick, even on top of the holiday weekend. Great job!

Wonderful fun! Even with the AD&D programming, its not hard to go back in and modify some things to bring them up to code with 3.5 systems. Quite entertaining, great kindling for the imagination!

Purchased as soon as I saw it; slowly working my way through Anthony's collection, all of it is fantastic, evocative, and just plain cool! Now if only I can finish my project list...

Note: I picked the item up on sale at $.50, despite the earlier reviewer's remarks. Figured for $.50, it wouldn't hurt any, and I was right, at $.50 it wasn't too bad. A couple pieces in here, if touched up and finished, could work nicely as a product similar to the "Clipart Critters" we have floating around here on RPGN.
The first reviewer was correct in that use of the .gif format, as opposed to .tiff, .jpg, or even .bmp was a determent to the illustrations.
Second, I was very disappointed in the resolution of much of the collection. The occasional image is large enough to be of good use, but many of the items are suitable only as web-graphics, their resolution being that low.
Quality is about middle of the road; like I said, some pieces are decent and cleaned up could be worthwhile.
Interestingly, perusing the collection I see that the cover image is no where to be found within the collection itself.
Beyond that, a large assortment of images, people and monsters. Some useful, minor decorative pieces. Not bad for $.50, but glad I didn't pay more.

As always, just plain awesome. Nothing else to say, and its nice to grab it on sale, though the prices are always fair for what you get!

Yay! More Image Portfolio!
Gotta say, I love the series, they pull together some great packets at great prices. I produce card games mostly, and the Image Portfolio series is a great resource for some extra pieces and filler cards. Always kick ass.
One word about this selection: COLOR! SWEET! Two awesome, full color pieces, very nicely done. Six other awesome illustrations in black & white, easily colored if need be, by several artists from earlier packages.

LIKED: GREAT! Eight awesome illustrations, many of which (in the right setting) are multi-genre, not just mixed genre, and two sweet color pieces. Rocking!

DISLIKED: Knew to expect it, but still gives me pause: the product lists 10 pages, which it neglects to clarify that two of which are "filler"- the cover, and the lisencing agreement. The product is 8 pages of artwork, and a simple note in the description would make that clear to anyone not used to the IP format.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
Wow. Just wow. Can't really say much more- 36 high quality, well done images for $25? AWESOME.

LIKED: Everything~

DISLIKED: Only sticking point for me was the croppings- many of the images are croppings of larger pieces and on some I would, personally, prefer a different cropping knowing what's available. The publisher was quite willing to work with me, however, so this is more a comment on the package here; customer service is awesome~

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
An excellent assortment of rather nice images, very useful for a few projects of mine upcoming, and a great bargin for $5.

LIKED: Once the publisher recieved feedback from the publishers who would be using this artwork, changes were made and the product is that much better for it. Fuller illustrations which showed me some things I didn't see with the earlier cuttings, brand new illustrations (2 of them it appears) also rounded this package out. Ultimately a better deal and better product all around.

DISLIKED: Nothing in the revised product. Much better.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied

[THIS REVIEW WAS EDITED]
Thank you for your comment. I try to accept everyone's comment and I am working on modifying the pack for all of you to have a better update soon! I'll convert all images to TIFF (JPG is a lousy compression so I better go with TIFF). Some of the images were made as a contribution for open source game projects, so were designed to be on screen, so I don't have a much bigger version, but I will try to reorganize the directory structure as:

<originals> (consisting the original images I made the crops, in 10-15 times they will be bigger than I used in the package, and occasionally they will be much bigger)
<cropped> (the same structure as now, I don't want to left out anything I put in the original)

Somehow I felt that a portrait package should consist square formed images, so I did that. Now I see that maybe I was wrong, I am a starting out "publisher", so I apologise for everyone for this. With time I will improve hopefully.
|

Joy of joys, the chance to be the first to expound upon the marvels of this product!
In short: As a card game designer, the product is almost always about artwork. Nevermind the gameplay, in the glut of card games games out there you need to look good doing whatever it is you are doing before they will check out your "awesome system". This packet here allowed me to do just that! The artwork provided here (and in a couple of other LPJ packages I've purchased) were literally the last piece of my puzzle to complete the game, and even provided additional inspiration to develop more material for the game than we had originally crafted.

LIKED: - Awesome artwork in the first
- Very nice variety, between the classic heroes to the anti-heroes and even a few villainous pieces for good measure.
- The price is amazing, CANNOT be beat. 90 images for $30.00? Its a steal. Really.

DISLIKED: - Theres a downside? Really? Not that I can find.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
