Brozer is worthy of putting in your library. The essays are well-written, and the simple and straightforward setup is great for a game night or weekend. It is chock full of literary references and fun nods to pop culture, and many a gamer will find enjoyment in the faction write-ups.

The best part? It is extraordinarily flexible. The amount of detail in each Faction makes it a valuable resource for inspiration, and can be thrown into a campaign whole cloth, or reskinned to fit your setting.

If someone crows endlessly about "wargaming" and then tells you not to worry about stuff like terrain rules, you are dealing with a fraud. They invoke Gary but do not consider what Gary would say to such prattle.

This module provides an incredible amount of value for no cost at all. Many products being sold in tabletop spaces are all style and no substance. That’s not the case with Brozer. The essays are thoughtful and challenge the reader to reevaluate conventional gaming practices. The module portion provides a gameable scenario and a number of well thought out factions to provide for players. The best thing about the scenario is that it requires little to no prep at all. Just distribute the factions, set the scenario in motion, and your players will handle the rest. Running Brozer, you may find that your players are kept up at night, pondering their next move. You may quickly realize you have no clue what is going on as conflicts and alliances form outside of your purview. All the module asks of the referee is to fairly adjudicate conflicts as they arise.

The scenario and factions are truly system neutral. They can be played just as well with the latest offerings from WOTC as TSR systems of yore and everything in-between (including your favorite retro clone). I took part in a Brozer game using the Amber Diceless system and it worked flawlessly. While the scenario presented in the module is roughly fantasy themed, I could easily see it being retooled to work with your favorite science fiction system (such as Traveler).

Brozer challenges conventional play practices, promotes conflict between players, and provides unforgettable gaming experiences that can’t be found anywhere else in the tabletop gaming sphere. It truly ushers in a new paradigm of gaming. Do yourself a favor and just jump right in. Join the hundreds of other players and referees who are going boldly where no other table has gone before.

Quick read, but it contains more wisdom than 99.9% of the crap on this site. If you want an original campaign setting that players care about, and deeply engage with, get this book. Read it and use it. You'll save a ton of money by not buying terrible pre-produced adventures that at best get 6 sessions of play.

Interesting module with many cool lairs of good guys and bad guys for my campaign. Think of it like one page lair dungeons without a map. There are thought provoking essays in here about what a braunstein is and how to play it. It's very exciting if you're looking to try something new in your game. I want to unleash this on my players as soon as possible.
