I have run this three times and each time has been an absolute nail-biter! This session clocks in at 2 hours and is full of tension, threat of violence, horror and an ever-loomimg realization that things are NOT ok! In otherwords, all the ingredients for a tremendous Mothership experience!

Had the opportunity to run this tonight as part of our Secret of the Dragon Emperor campaign. It took around 2 hours to complete and had a nice mix of foes to hack and slash as well as two possible ways to lead into the adventure (we took the path less travelled). The final boss was tough as nails! It was great fun and definitely adds some great flavor to our ongoing campaign, but would be well-suited to a one-off or as a side quest in an existing campaign.

Just had the pleasure of running this tonight! It was great! I nerfed the combatants. A lot. I wanted this to be less fight and more about the decision at the end. My players loved it! One said it was his favorite Mothership one shot ever!

Had a phenomenal time running this tonight online for friends. It was 4 hours of mayhem and mirth...or is it mirth and mayhem?

A question! The book references the Master Alchemist Heroic Ability. Where do I find this??

Hey there I am so glad you and your group had such a great time with this! The Alchemist details are found on our patreon, it will probably find its way to Drivethru at some stage.

This scenario is misleading! At first glance, it looks very small and short.
But wait until you play it!
This is seriously a LOT of fun!
My group records our sessions, here is our first run through the adventure!

Just ran this online for an amazing group of players. This was seriously amazing and fit perfectly into a 3 hour time limit. Spoilers in the video, but here is our session!

My son and I have been digging the Dragonbane solo rules, I set up the "dungeon" ahead of time using the solo rules and he runs his character through it. We finished Deepfall Breach and decided to run through The Light of Evanor. The first session is complete and we had a blast!!! The storyline is compelling and the varied locations across the campaign should prove a worthy adversary!
We film our exploits and hope this first video might shed some light on what to expect during this solo campaign: https://youtu.be/syH7YyyAkgo
Highly recommended!

Some challenging translation issues in the rules and on the game sheet, otherwise this looks promising

This will become part of our campaign in The Strange. Upon the initial read-through, I wish I was a player in this recursion! The details are what makes this so amazing. From the "what X knows about Y" in the town description to the period weapon charts (and penny slots), this is a complete product.

I will be running a party of 4 intrepid heroes through "Secrets in the Dark" this evening. I am likewise setting the piece in the Dimgaard campaign world. I am very intrigued by the notion of low-wealth/low-magic and LOVE the idea of the Inquisition. This campaign is clearly not for everyone. But for a seasoned group of veteran role-players, this should prove a welcome diversion from the standard "loot & scoot" adventures that permeate the market.
In fact, we will be tackling this as a band of mercenaries using ideas from Todd Crapper's Mercenary Campaign writeup in the old 4E Combat Advantage E-Zine.
But back to the adventure! Secrets in the Dark is precisely the sort of thing I like: a single session's worth of encounters with enough challenge to force the party to think outside the box. Honestly, we have never used the Exhaustion rules and this is a great opportunity to do so!
The only reason this lost a star was that it is very minimalistic, which may turn away some folks. The mapping is very much open to interpretation. Likewise, the encounters look TOUGH for a first level party.

We ran through this yesterday with a party of 5 9th level PCs and the 4E ruleset. I modified area three to become a slick, wet stone arch over a deep gorge. There was a caustic geyser beneath the arch and it was both challenging and difficult terrain. That was a meat grinder! The party fighter took two steps, fell prone and was blasted by the geyser. Several failed saves later and he'd taken 42 points of damage!
Yssah and her golem (I downgraded the standard stone golem from 17th to 10th level) were incredible foes. By the time the dust cleared, one PC was petrified, one was unconscious and had missed two death saving throws and everyone else was bloodied.
All told, it went over brilliantly! Everyone liked the use of the maps, commenting that they added a great deal of flavor to the game, much more so than my usual scribblings on the battlemat.
For the price, it can't be beat!
