Love this rule system. Adventure lets you play Indiana Jones, The Mummy, Uncharted and Tomb Raider style action adventures. Love this system!

Shadowrun, Sixth World Core Rulebook: City Edition: Seattle

For the most part I like the new changes. I understand that a lot of people are annoyed about the 'crunch' or meticulous bonus-grabbing parts have been replaced by a more narrative, streamlined Edge system but for myself and my players that is absolutely brilliant. We get to focus more on our characters/story rather than it becoming a tactical wargame.

If you are new to the game or (like us) found that the meticulous advantage-crawling adjustment bonuses/penalties, the disparate mechanics for the Matrix, Magic and Mundane tasks were getting in the way of enjoying an intriguing and fun setting than this is the edition to play then you will probably enjoy 6E

If you enjoy the crunch of meticulously adding every bonus you can wrench out of your gear and abilities or you enjoy your maximum Force rated spirit replacing every other team member (as you did in 5E) then this might not be the edition for you.

Shadowrun: Sixth World Beginner Box

I have to concur with many of the other purchasers, this product is just plain bad and feels like a half-assed attempt to cash in on the new edition. Within moments of looking through the set, any fan of Shadowrun will immediately begin to notice the (often glaring) errors and the truly terrible characters. The only thing that this set accomplishes is to make already existing Shadowrun fans hesitate in transitioning over from the last edition.

The numerous errors and convoluted/contradictory rules provided here do little to entice players to try the new system and the adventure provided within (that should be sparking interest/excitement especially with new players) is lacklustre at best and attempts the barest nod of nostalgia to previous introductory scenarios (Food Fight).

Very Disappointed CGL. Battletech is knocking it out of the park but it seems there is no joy for Shadowrun fans - instead it feels like a grubby cash grab to get in on the Cyberpunk 2077 hype.

Lone Wolf Adventure Game
Publisher: Cubicle 7 Entertainment Ltd.

Bought this for a little nostalgia trip since I loved these Gamebooks when I was a teenager. They (along with) the Way of the Tiger and of course Fighting Fantasy are what got me into RPGs.

I must say that after my initial read through this game seems to faithfully recreate the feel and rules of the Gamebooks really well. It either allows you to create characters in two versions: -Initiate: Which is a pretty basic character and uses characteristics much like the Lone Wolf Gamebooks. -Master: A more in-depth character with Backgrounds, Skills and Traits. Along with variable weapon abilities and additional more complex rules (though admittedly still basic).

The time period the game is set is prior to the Lone Wolf Books and covers the creation of Kai Monk PCs only (Though later supplements mention additional options like Sommerlending knights, Magicians and Dwarven Gunners of Bor).

There is plenty of fluff spread across the three books which, for a fan of the setting, is awesome to see. If you are a fan I suggest you pick this up!
