Disappointing. The concept is interesting. The artwork and writing are both excellent, but the content is just a bit lacking. It's presented as a toolkit, and that's really all you get, a box of tools. References are made to different armor types and currency, but never discussed. An insect-centered class is provided with no other reference to it or insects. It just feels rushed and un-finished. Nothing about classes or races (other than sea elves, and the odd entomologist), nothing about society, cultures, etc. It does provide an interesting mechanism for generating a wavecrawl, but it is very specific to the Wind Wraith world concept that it would be a bit of work to make it useful under a different setting. The ship-as-character concept is cool, and the ship-to-ship combat rules are useful.

The setting is interesting, it provides classes and other extensions to OSE that help it to feel like a fleshed out world where you could have some fun and dangerous adventures. The lore is mysterious and it finds a good balance between explanation and things left for the referee. I'm not sure I would run it as is, but I'll definitely use bits and pieces from it in my campaign.

It lost a star for the POD printing - the content runs in too close to the spine. I'm thinking there was not enough gutter added to the printer version. It makes the physical book less comfortable to read.

A great collection of extensions for OSE with modifications of the arcane and divine magic systems, as well as options for missing players, and dragon customizations. Awesome supplement!

The content is good, well-formatted and interesting - I think it will make for a fun series of adventures. I'd give it a higher rating if not for the quality of the print version.

The POD hardback was horrible - the gutter was too narrow so that the pages all ran into the binding making them hard to read, and the paper feels cheap and was very wrinkly. Get the PDFs and forget about the print verison.

This book provides a ton of great variants to the monsters in the Monster Manual and the differences are interesting and meaningful, not just minor tweaks. Well worth the price.

Great old-school style fantasy line art you can use in your own projects. A good selection of weapons and miscellaneous items that make good filler or sidebar art.
