Playing ‘The House of 99 Souls’ was a truly engrossing experience. The gothic atmosphere is palpable in every room, and the mix of exploration, puzzles and dangers perfectly reflects the feel of a classic old school horror adventure. ‘The House of 99 Souls’ is an excellent adventure that fully captures the essence of Old School Essentials. The balance is never forced, leaving room for the creativity and skill of the players, and the narrative tension keeps the group glued from start to finish. Kudos again to the author and contributors for their work - it's clear they put a lot of passion into it!
