An excellently written adventure with polished graphic design that stands out as professional and immersive. The maps and artwork are human made and visually engaging, which adds to the overall quality of the product. It is clear a lot of thought went into the layout and presentation.
The plot focuses on mystery and investigation, with a strong supernatural theme tied to the sea. It’s a straightforward story but has enough depth and twists to keep players engaged. The NPCs are well written and feel meaningful to the narrative. I especially loved how the locations tie directly into the story, such as the chapel and lighthouse. Every area feels purposeful, and the pacing encourages exploration and role-playing without dragging.
The lighthouse scene with the shadows creates a great sense of tension and challenge. The Enchanted Lantern was a clever addition, providing a unique item that is both integral to the plot and useful in gameplay. The final encounter with Neris is intense and provides a satisfying conclusion to the adventure.
The appendix is a nice touch, offering extra villagers and all the stat blocks to help a DM adapt to player unpredictability. It’s clear this module is designed with the DM in mind, making it easy to run while still allowing room for creativity. The adventure is polished, engaging, and enjoyable!
