if you enjoy roleplay, i believe you'll enjoy this. definitely a lot of room for roleplay moments....the last combat encounter felt epic as well. PCs have plenty of options to go about this adventure so you never know what may happen.

It's sad that any reviews under 5 stars is only docking it for the AI Artwork. This is an excellent plot and beginning adventure. I really enjoy adventures that focus on more than just combat, and this hits that mark. The combat was challenging for my group but there was enough in favor of the party they still emerged victorious without it being too cheap. Another excellent title by this author.

I picked this up during the New Year New Game sale and figured I’d run it right away, and I'm glad I did. This adventure was an absolute hit with my group. From the layout to the engaging story, everything about it felt top tier.

The plot offers a great mix of mystery and action, giving the players plenty of room to make choices that actually matter. The final battle was especially intense, with everyone feeling the weight of their decisions leading up to it. My players were on edge the whole time, and it made for such a satisfying ending.

The design of the product is really well done, and the AI artwork didn’t bother me at all. I know some people get hung up on the use of AI Artwork in modules, but honestly, it didn’t affect the quality of the product in any way. The art fits the tone perfectly and complements the story.

There are also great tools for DMs, like well-developed NPCs and detailed locations that make prepping for the game super easy. I really appreciated the two versions of the final map since it gave me options for how I wanted to run the last encounter.

This was such a good purchase, and running it so soon after picking it up made it feel even more worth it. If you’re looking for something fun and easy run, this adventure is definitely worth checking out!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! It is incredibly rewarding to hear that your group had such a great experience with the adventure. I'm glad the mix of mystery and action resonated with your players and that the final battle delivered the intensity I aimed for. Hearing that the tools and design made your prep easier is fantastic feedback. It is always my goal to support DMs as much as possible. Thank you again for sharing your experience and for giving the adventure a spot at your table!

I was disappointed when I realized this product uses AI generated images very heavily. For me that puts me in a suspicious mindset about the rest of the adventure as well. For example I was squinting at the NPC character descriptions bc they alse felt like generic AI output. I might be wrong, but once some aspects of a product use AI it's hard to believe the integrity of the rest of it.

Otherwise this was a fun adventure. It took my group of 6 players 3 sessions (9 hours) to play through even though I compressed it a little by cutting the first cultist encounter in the forest and having all the events happen in the span of one day. For me it was hard to see how to stretch the adventure over several days as the text suggests, I already had a hard time stopping my players from just going into the forest to find the cultists before they had investigated the clues in town (so your mileage may vary depending on your players). Once they had more info about the cult and when they realized when the eclipse is, it was imossible to stop them from going into the forest and setting up an ambush for the cultits. The product warns the DM about this and suggests you just handwave/railroad the PCs and stop them from going into the forest too early, but I didn't want to do it, so they got to set up their ambush :D I think the last encounter was still fun for the group and when they managed to disrupt the ritual before it really had time to start it really made them feel badass.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the adventure. It is wonderful to hear how much fun your group had, and I love how you adapted the story to fit your players’ choices. It sounds like the final encounter was a thrilling moment, and I am so glad it created such memorable experiences for everyone involved. To address your concern, the only aspect of the product that incorporates AI is the artwork. Every part of the writing, from the story to the NPC descriptions and mechanics, was created entirely by hand with care and attention to detail. As a small publisher, balancing quality and affordability is always a challenge, and AI artwork allowed me to include visuals while keeping the product accessible. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback and for sharing the highlights of your group’s adventure. It means a lot to know the story inspired such exciting moments, and I hope it continues to bring joy to your future tables.

A well written adventure and graphic design is superb and polished. Yes, it has AI artwork, no that isn't an issue. It looks better AND is made better than 95% of other adventure products on this site. It definitely deserves the best seller status medals.

The plot is very straight forward and is an investigative mystery. There's a BBEG of course but there's TONS of things in this module that can affect outcomes and such. I especially loved the research part of the adventure, and the fire scene made a sense of urgency and the PC's had to hurry and decide on what to do. There's plenty of NPC options and places in town. Loved the appendix sections. The DM has an easy job with this module.

All the maps are human-made of course, and the two different versions is a nice bonus. This a well polished, thought out, and fun adventure. I believe a sequel should be made!

Simple put this is a well written adventure and the graphic design is of a quality you'd expect from WOTC. Actually this looks better than most WOTC products.

The plot is straight forward - investigate a mystery, do some research and confront the big bad guy behind the plot. However, these three elements have a lot of depth and plenty of options for how the PCs can handle them. The author even made the research part fun and interesting.

The adventure includes plenty of NPCs and information about the town the PCs start in which makes the GM’s job easier (the less prep the better!). A map of the town would have been nice but a quick online search will turn up something useful. Two versions of the final encounter map are included so the GM can choose which they prefer.

The cover and interior art is really nice and eye catching. Yes some of it is AI-generated content but that has no effect on the adventure as a whole. If you can ignore the AI art, this is a fun adventure which has the potential to be more than a one shot depending on how it ends...

Joe, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the adventure and found the graphic design on par with, if not better than, WOTC products. It's incredibly rewarding to see my hard work appreciated. I'm glad you found the plot engaging and the research component fun and interesting. Creating depth and providing multiple options for how players can handle each element is something I strive for, so your feedback means a lot. Regarding the maps, I understand the value of having detailed town maps and not just battlemaps. I paid for all the maps in this adventure, and moving forward, I'm hoping to collaborate with a cartographer to map out the towns in my adventures as well. Who knows, I might can get the files updated for this adventure and include one at some point. This way, the GM’s job can be even easier, with everything they need at their fingertips. I appreciate your open-mindedness about AI-generated artwork. It's encouraging to know that not everyone holds a stigma against it. My goal is always to enhance the adventure experience, and your understanding and acceptance are truly appreciated. Thank you again for your kind words and support. Your feedback inspires me to keep improving and creating better adventures.

The Good: Well, I gotta say, this adventure is something else. The story kept my group hooked from start to finish. Loved the mystery element, really made the players think. The town of Silverpine felt real, with all the detailed NPCs and locations. My players enjoyed talking to folks and figuring things out instead of just fighting all the time. The pacing was great, and it felt like everything we did mattered. The maps and descriptions were clear, which made it easier for me to run the game without feeling lost.

The Bad: Not much to complain about, honestly. Maybe a few more tips for handling players who go off the rails would’ve helped. And the final battle was a bit tricky to balance, but we managed. Some of the clues could have been a bit more obvious, had to nudge my players a bit.

Overall, this adventure was a blast. My group had a great time, and we’re looking forward to more like this. Definitely worth it for any DM looking for a solid, engaging story to run.

I had the pleasure of running this for my group, to which I heard about it from a facebook friend...anyways...it brought back the classic feel of dnd. The balance of investigation and combat was well executed and story kept everyone engaged. If you have to incorporate this somewhere it's definitely a solid addition to any campaign.
