While still the Ashcan by itself is not so convincing to me, after having read it and some of the manuscripts from the kickstarter I can say it does briefly explains the system they are going to use and that what is coming is interesting. What the ashcan contains, though, is an explanation of the system and enough content for a oneshot or a few games if you manage to extend it.

There is an incredible amount of content, like I had never ever seen before in a supplement. It is incredibly cheap, yet it add an astonishing amount of content and possibilities for most CoD games. It has stats for planes, for all that equipment you allways hoped to see in a document like this (from binoculars to talcum powder), for the possibility to play Toy Story in CoD, to see what would happen if you forced another splat to go through the divergence, it also has very good rules about how to use and manage ephemeral entities.

I simply can no emphasize more how much content is contained in these few amount of pages. It feels as if they were limited to 59 pages, so then they put what would normally be contained in 100 pages, but in the half amount. 10/10.

The book is a bit disorganized, but as it is with most of second edition, it is a great game and it allows you to run games both at stret level and over the top, with characters that are very customizable.

The conspiration system (of creating them and managing them) can be a bit confusing at fisrts and I recommend using just one per chronicle, but in general, I really enjoy this game and what it offers.
