I bought this when it was still a "one page ruleset" and while i was sure that the improvements would justify to buy this version i was still blown away!

69% of this is pure fluff to help you dive into this amazing universe. The remaining 31% are reserved for the greatly improved and expanded rules.
This kind of reminded me of the old days when half the rulebooks for skirmish wargames had a ton of background and made you hungry for more... Preparing you for the journey.
The rules themselve are stramelined and logical (what they where anyways) so learning them is extremely easy. Nothing more to say about them, realy... They are good and solid. Flexible enough to make realy unique charakters without any restrictions whatsoever. While the old version was a quick, fun experience that had a "pick up and play in no time"-vibe this version has the same vibe with all the tools you want to ask for if you want to extend this to an ongoing thing for yourself and anyone around you... Without the need of being a veteran wargamer with more minis than you can count... If you indeed are one of those folks: trust me when i tell you that you finaly have a reason to put your favorite minis on the table. No matter where they are from!
