Playable as a game, but more importantly, IMO, a great historical reference document for understanding how some of the earliest versions of the game worked.

POD version is a great resource for any spelljammer campaign. PDF is unreadable on most of the pages. Glad I got both.

An excellent choice. Originally, I was going to yank out the Ancient Aegypt setting for an area within of my D&D campaign (Hey, you had me at Ancient Aliens!), but I now intend to run this as my "portable RPG" on vacation with the family. -DM Curt

A true gem. Most of this is usable cross-edition, and can fill in where thinner DMGs lack.
