Superb, non-linear interpretation of Moria. As opposed to expectation, there's no singular "Moria" experience in this book: want to be part of Balin's expedition? Cool. Want to pass through? Cool. Want to explore the very depths that Durin's folk dug too deep? Handsomely constructed with gentle additions even for solo or solo-and-GM player -- scaling up to larger expeditions.
The artwork is exceptional. All the care and attention to detail of the sepia sketches feel like a series of well-made story books come to life. Gareth knocks it out of the park -- reaching a similar height to the grand campaign from The One Ring 1e: The Darkening of Mirkwood.
Buy it and at least give it a play once your party is familiar with the rules.
