It's a tidy adventure, layout is good, you can tell it's been well thought out. That said, there are some pretty confusing passages of text throughout which I might assume as translation issues if English isn't the authors first language. Very cool how a relatively small dungeon has so much packed into and around it. I'll be checking out the follow up adventure when it's available.

English is not my native language. Strong scenario, well done. Keep on the Borderlands meets Bone Tomahawk. Not for the faint of hearts, mature audience recommended. I loved it. The layout is very well done and allows you minimal prep as you can run the scenario from your screen or print with ease. I recommend to read it once before running it though as the atmosphere is very particular to say the least. This is not your regular fantasy story. My players are D&D veterans from all editions since AD&D and sh.t their pants. Then asked for more... Can't wait for the Caverns of Corruption hinted in the text.

Strong adventure, effective atmosphere of horror, some memorable encounters, and a fine mixture of adventuring activities: interactions in the village; travel; dungeon crawling. More of the treasure might be bulky and difficult to move, or tricky to find.

After a couple of plays, five level 2 OSE characters (including a knight) with one magic weapon, one silver weapon, and a sleep spell seems about right.

Minor erratum: AC5 for the chainmail clad hunt-leader.

Highly recommended.

I really liked this adventure and will use it as my first Shadowdark adventure. It provides enough information and detail for me to convey to the players and is a little different than other 'you start in a tavern'. You do start in a tavern but has western feel to it, sandy, gritty and depressing. Conjures images of the Magnificant Seven and those plethora of spaghetti westerns. Then I get the vibes of a post apocalyptic wasteland during the overland journey, straight out of the Hills have Eyes. The delving into the dungeon like going into the hideout of Chainsaw Massacre / CHUD's. And if the players are successful there is a little twist at the end. Looking forward to running this. When you do the follow up adventure I will be downloading it.
