This is truly the world's greatest roleplaying game. Going from 5e to 1e has been life changing.

I found it quite useful for running my first edition game. I like the additional character options the most and roll up interesting characters just for fun using this book. The only thing it is lacking is bookmarks for the various sections. It has ~150 pages that aren't very fun to have to search through manually every time I open the PDF. I solved this myself by adding bookmarks to my own copy of the PDF so it isn't that much of a big deal.

I ran this solo and had a lot of fun with it. In the end, only one of my characters survived the gauntlet and claimed his prize. I'd recommend it. It's simple and fun with hooks for the future.
