I am planning on running a Regency Campaign for Cthulhu and am on the hunt for additonal material to use, the classic time poor GM story. This is an excellent product, its got all you could want and while I don't use Roll20 I am a big user of VTTs and find the online material to be of signficant value. The adventure is actually excellent, there are twists and turns and to be honest a good surprise in the resolution options. Its also got an excellent Cads of Regency vibe which I think is vital to the setting.

My one note of warning is this is probably more of a folk horror as opposed to Cthulhu horror game. The monster as it were is not what it may first seem and the vibe of the setting is specificially aligned to the activities of the humans over the monsters, nor are the monsters necessarily the root of the issue. With that note said I am mightly impressed and look forward to running this as a key adventure in my campaign and would recommend it to anyone with the same intent, it actually provides a bit of a break from unrelenting Cthulhu Horror and the whole setup is a great riff on the 'what ever shall a poor weak woman do in this man's world'

The Regency setting for Call of Cthulhu is quickly becoming one of my favorite eras for roleplaying and Kat Clay has done an amazing job at bringing it to life in The Well of All Fear. I don't want to say too much for fear of spoilers, but it takes the world of Jane Austen, embraces it and turns it on its ear, creating a frightening yet charming tale where both the heroes and villains have very real and understandable motivations. These motivations are so sound, that the investigator could easily be justified in becoming the very thing she is hunting. Well done and highly recommended.

Another Slam Dunk scenario from Kat Clay, this time for the Regency Setting of Call of Cthulhu.

In case anyone doesn't know Kat is a fantastic writer of whodunnit's, detective stories and other fiction.. She also turns her hand to believable historic scenarios with a rich depth and all the background needed to make them live and breathe in your head for as long as they take to run and enjoy.

Like her earlier Gaslight Scenario "The Hammersmith Haunting" this is set in true life locales, is well researched and has enough background to make the story pop into life as you run it. Knowing the area where this latest scenario is set as well (I am local to the setting) i was impressed by how greatly Kat understands the background and has weaved her narrative together with the history to form a tense and mysterious story with elements of true horror, grand shocks and a devolving subject of investigation.

If this doesn't become a best seller with many medals i will eat my bonnet!
