I like Cephus. I'm not sold on Deluxe yet. I like the older version well enough. It is a solid, self contained system that is very robust and easy for new players. My main critique is the layout. The fancy border is pretty, but on anything smaller than a large tablet, beware, that fancy border chews up a lot of screen and I end up zooming a lot to read what's there. I would pay for a black and white, no graphics option for the PDF.

I was not greatly impressed with this module due to some details in the writing that left me hanging while attempting to run it. The writing has a few rough spots generally and two or three times sentances were vague or confusing. That the gem necessary for the ideal conclusion wasn't detailed where it was mentioned in the final encounter put me in a quandry. My players were asking reasonable questions and moving toward a solution and I was not able to discern where the critical component could be found. I liked the concepts, and there are elements for a good introductory module as it is potentially well balanced between role playing, rewards for skills and out of combat or non-combat solutions to situations, with just enough combat for full balance. But the details that were unclear hung me up when it came to actually administering the main plot.
