This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I wanted more flavor in my upcomming Spelljammer campaign and I found it here. Is the creator a bit obsessed with cats? Yes. Is it awesome. Probably.
New Ships, links to tokens if you want.
Only issue is some of the ship pictures are 3D modeled. I don't care. And for this awesome price you shouldn't either ... but there is always that one guy who wants picasso for dollar store prices.
I loved this :)

Crowns and Castles takes the old school Battle System rules, updates them to 5e and then goes DEEP. Want to play a dictatorship made up of angels? Done. How about playing a game where you are Thay, not a Red Wizard of Thay ... but all of Thay. Best part of this system is that is uses familiar game constructs so it isn't a massive mental leap moving from a level 1 warlock to a level 1 country. Crowns and Castles is different and refreshing and also a completley new way to play DnD. Character (your "country" or "state") sheets look very familiar with "attributes" in familiar places. This appears to be done on purpose so that you don't have to spend a great deal of time learning new mechanics. You still have DCs and "turns." Countries can roleplay with each other using different methods ... and fighting! There are a multitude of units, all based on decisions made upon "character" creation. There are new spells and magical items that can only be cast or function at this new "state" level of game play.
Crowns and Castles is a must buy!

I fear that I don't have the proper words to explain how amazing this is. Between both volumes you are looking at roughly 200,000 to 300,000 words about everything you didn't know you didn't know about Ravenloft. Most of us have heard of Strahd, Soth, and a few others but there are dozens of dark lords, domains, domain areas of interest, NPCs, spells, items and on and on. The amount of detail and thought that went into this project is beyond my comprehension.

At first I found it strange that there are very few actual monster creations in this print, but then I realized how "used to that" we have all become. This is a supplement about the vast and myriad planes of existence. There are so many other works out there that deal with critters and shiny new "what-its" that I've come to expect that. This work is filled to the brim with ... words! ... It also has advice and help for running adventures that dip a toe into the multiverse all the way to adventurers that span the entirety of it.
It was shocking ... and so refreshing to read so many words and I must say that I am very impressed. Very good work! This will be one of those works I keep around when I finally get around to upgrading to 7th Edition of DnD.
Fantastic Work to you and your team!
Oh and spring for the print. You won't be disapointed.

Fantastic Work!
And this one includes more new or old monsters with a new skin on them and not just a bunch of subtypes! Love your work!

This book is an absolute must have!
For me, this book was a wonderful ride through "memory lane" as I learned what happened to many heroes and villains from the Baldur's Gate video games. No spoilers but at least one of them is petrified about being petrified again.
The writing is fantastic and the "voice" of boo (and sometimes Minsc) is peppered throughout the work.
As an added bonus, the author re-introduced the demodand gehreleths. These nasty buggers are close to my heart.
Oh and the art is bloody amazing!

I liked the first half. I enjoyed reading it. Constructing an Arch Fey is useful. I like the curses ... The second half feels like a collection of random bits thrown together that can ONLY be used with the Wild Beyond the Witchlight. In my oppinion the first half is good and the second half was left on the cutting floor with good reason. But if you are a DM that loves a wide variety of bits and bobs and handouts while playing and you are running Wild then this might be for you.

Warlocks and Patrons expands and fleshes out the why and the background of the Warlock/Patron relationship. Who is your patron? How did you meet? Where is your relationship going? This is a good reference for players and DMs who are looking for more than just an "eldritch blast machine gun" out of their warlocks.

This book introduces a type of "passive" skill enhancement item (magic book). Its rather cleverly done. Tome of Books also includes other types of magic books and a table that will allow you to randomize any book found (size, material, etc.). My only gripe is that the randomization tables should have been at the back of the book as most readers want to dive right into the "good stuff." BUT FANTASTIC WORK!

This is a well ballanced collection of older magical tomes with a few new ones. Special Collections updates a few spells that I recognize from as far back as the early 90s to the 5E system and the lore is very fun to read. But then ... then it introduces a random magical scroll table for determining what spell is found in magic scrolls!!!

Thanks for checking out the supplement and for your enthusiastic review! I'm glad you were particularly excited about the Random Spell Scroll Table; that's something I've been wanting myself for a long time, and so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to create one and include it. :) |

This was great inspiration but the scan quality is pretty low. Not sure what the deal is but fantastic inspiration.

This is a very good product that will let you start the creation of a Thieves' Guild. There are plenty of tables to give you inspiration and a good place to start and flesh out.
