This is one of the few books on DMsGuild that I've read cover to cover, and it is well worth the money and time. This book is an invaluable tool for Dungeon Masters and players alike who want to expand upon the forgotten parts of the “Unapproachable East” in Faerun. The product is almost fully black and white, which adds to some of the flavor, but could be seen as a downside. The font is also nice and large, and pages are well organized and eye-catching. There is so much flavor brimming in this book. From lore both official and expanded, quest hooks, descriptions of local, natives, deities, rituals, everyday life, and so much more. You can read about the mighty berserker lodges and then use them for your players! It leaves plenty of creative space for a GM to not feel confined to the setting and lore, while still giving options and expansion needed to run the adventure. There are of course player options ranging from backgrounds to subclasses to spells to a brand new Wychlaran class. The class itself would need some changes outside of this setting, as it is innately tied to the land of Rashemen. However, almost all the rest of the options are useable in any other setting. This book is very close to being a number one choice on DMsGuild, and if you like lore and going away from the Sword Coast of Faerun, this book is for you!

A wonderful campaign guide to a little-explored part of the Forgotten Realms that has a special and unique flavour. If you're a fan of traditional Slavic folktales, Rashemen is for you. If you wanna know more about the land where Minsc came from, Rashemen is for you. If you want to be a scheming artificer, powerful witch, or raging berserker battling against the evil Red Wizards of Thay, Rashemen is for you. Gorgeous book with fun character options, a nice gazetteer and some flavourful new enemies. Definitely worth getting in hardcover for your shelf.

I purchased the softcover version of the book, and my only regret is I did not spend the little extra on the HC edition. This product is well worth the money spent. What makes this book great? The cover art is spectacular and the interior art does not dissapoint. I would imagine that the HC book with the premium color is even more beautiful. The bulk of the interior content is full of crunch and very useable as a campaign sourcebook, or can easily be mined and modified for a homebrew campaign. Locations, NPCs, new classes, magic items, spells, plot hooks, stat blocs, and histories are, for the most part, well done and very useable in any edition of play, although stat blocs would obviosuly need to be modified. The prose is readable and not in any way unwieldy or overly verbose. The writers and content editors did a solid job on the book. Why 4.5 stars and not five? The information presented seems to assume that the purchaser/reader is already familiar with the content from previous editions, or at least with the Forgotten Realms at large. For example, the Wychlaran have a heirachy within their ranks; Ehtran, Hathran, Othlor, and Durthan are all Wychlaran, but this is not explained until deeper in the book. For the new-to-Forgotten Realms, the way the different ranks are discussed early could prove confusing to the reader. I read the entire book cover to cover and I still don't know what a "Vremmyoni" is. Nor is it clear what a "fyrra" is without infrence. A simple 2 page glossary would go a long way to help the reader. Lastly, and this is a very minor pet peeve: three major NPCs (Gevarra, Mangan Uruk, and Mishara Viadrova) are given generic NPC stat blocs. This comes off as a tad lazy in design. Given the case that she graces the cover in a beautful art piece, you would think Mishara would warrant her own block, as would the current Ironlord of Rashaman. Alas, no. Please let me reiterate that this is a wonderful book and well worth the price! Purchase with confidence, and if you intend to have part of your campaign in Rashemen, this book is a necessity!

This would be my favorite purchase ever on the DM Guild (and I buy a lot of stuff) if it didnt have that much little typos. The overall book is still VERY useable, but you end up having to come up with solutions to problems that would have never existed, if the proof-reading had been more thorough. Still, great little book to add to your collection that is ALMOST worth 5 stars!

I read this book from front cover to back cover. What a great pleasure to read all of it!

I began to compare this guide book with the Great Dale campaign guide and it is a great update from the previous product. From the design dress, illustration, and layout to the content itself it is a must get product if you want your players to explore the wild and dangerous Rashemen.

Players options are well designed and looks like they are fun to play, which makes me want to test them out as soon as I am able to. NPCs, locations, backgrounds, and quest ideas are numerable and I am sure most of these will get your DM side to create and prepare sessions building around these.

Overall, with a few typos and formats inconsistencies (eg. missing bold and itallics words in stats), this a wonderful product and is worth every cent of it's price.

This book is amazing! If you have any interest in running games in the Forgotten Realms then i highly reccomend this campaign guide. It's nice to see a campaign guide that takes place outside of the sword coast, and I cannot wait to run a game set in Rashemen. The three new races included are interesting and will create interesting roleplaying opportunities for players and DMs (my favorite being the spirit folk). All 9 of the new subclasses are fairly balanced and ingrained in the culture of Rashemen. The New Wychlaran class, while a bit complex, looks like a lot of fun; your players will definitely gravitate to this one.

I've played D&D for years and never heard of Rashemen. Interesting setting and the book is well fleshed out.
