Classic Guide to Greyhawk
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
by Kenny R. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 01/03/2025 18:47:03

The Classic Guide to Greyhawk is an incredible resource for both new and seasoned DMs who want to explore this iconic setting. It condenses the vast lore of Greyhawk into a concise 16-page guide that stays true to the original vision while also including key developments made since the 1980 World of Greyhawk Folio.

The highlights for me are the overviews of the Flanaess's history, factions, and cultures. The guide provides just enough detail to inspire creativity without overwhelming DMs. The section on the Circle of Eight and the knightly orders is especially useful, giving clear insights into important NPCs and groups. I also loved the inclusion of the Greyhawk calendar, which is a great touch for adding immersion to any campaign.

This guide feels like a love letter to Greyhawk fans while also being a perfect introduction for newcomers. It is accessible, well-organized, and packed with tools that make running a Greyhawk campaign much easier. The use of AI art may not be for everyone, but for a free product, the quality of the content more than makes up for it.

If you want a quick and effective way to start your journey into Greyhawk, this is absolutely worth downloading. It captures the essence of the setting in a way that is both simple and inspiring. I look forward to seeing more from these creators in the future!

Into Wonderland: A Feywild Setting Book
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
by Kenny R. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 01/03/2025 18:44:58

The setting is breathtaking, with whimsical yet deeply meaningful encounters that truly capture the essence of the Feywild. The story's modular design makes it easy to incorporate into an existing campaign or run as a full fledged adventure, which is perfect for DMs like me who love flexibility.

The archfey are brilliantly crafted, each with unique personalities and motives that make every interaction feel alive. The city of Endercoast provides a grounded contrast to the Feywild’s dreamlike chaos, creating a compelling dynamic throughout the campaign. My group especially loved the moral dilemmas and strange, unexpected encounters.

On top of the rich story, the player options are fantastic. The new races, subclasses, and spells all fit perfectly into the theme and offer something fresh for players to try. Plus, the supplemental materials, like the guide for transitioning from Witchlight to Into Wonderland, are such thoughtful additions.

This book isn’t just beautiful—it’s practical. Every detail feels designed to make it easy and fun for DMs to run. It’s whimsical, creative, and packed with tools that bring the Feywild to life. Whether you’re running it wholesale or borrowing pieces for your game, this is an absolute must-have for 5e.

World of Greyhawk Gazetteer Revised
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
by Kenny R. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 01/03/2025 18:42:43

As a long-time fan of the Greyhawk setting, I picked up this Gazetteer with high hopes, and it absolutely delivered. Whether you’re a seasoned DM looking to dig deeper into the lore or a newcomer exploring Greyhawk for the first time through the DMG 2024, this is an outstanding resource that bridges the gap between old school fans and new players.

The Gazetteer goes above and beyond by building on the foundation provided in the DMG 2024, fleshing out the setting with over 40 years of lore while staying true to its roots. The history, cultures, and geography of the Flanaess are explained in a way that is easy to digest but rich with detail. I especially appreciated the summaries of each realm, which include references to where you can get even deeper into specific topics if you want.

The appendices are a huge bonus. The tabulated lore changes, list of published Greyhawk sources, and fan community links make this not only a guide but also a gateway to exploring the setting further. Including details for Greyspace and factions like the Circle of Eight adds even more versatility for DMs, especially if you want to incorporate Spelljammer or political intrigue into your campaign.

The art and professional layout are the icing on the cake. It’s clear this was made with passion and care by the Greyhawk fan community, and the quality reflects that. Whether you’re new to Greyhawk or a fan from the Folio days, this Gazetteer is a must have. It’s packed with tools and inspiration to make running a campaign in the setting easier and more immersive than ever. I can't believe this was so cheap! I think I'll be picking up a print copy next.

Silent Night, Dreadful Night
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild
by Kenny R. [Verified Purchaser]

I picked up this up during the New Year New Game sale and decided to give it a try, even though the holiday season has just wrapped up. I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile this adventure is. While it has strong winter and holiday vibes, the story and gameplay are so well written that it works perfectly as a one shot either way.

The blend of horror and mystery kept my players hooked from start to finish. The setting of Winterbell is great, and the choices sprinkled throughout really hit hard. The final confrontation with Madame Frosthorn felt earned, with all the buildup paying off in a memorable way. My group loved the mix of exploration, combat, and roleplay, and I appreciated how straightforward it was to run.

The design is excellent, and the layout made it easy to follow. The inclusion of tools for the DM, like well thought NPCs and detailed settings, meant I could spend more time focusing on storytelling and less on prepping. It’s rare to find a product that’s this polished and easy to run without cutting corners on the story.

If you’re on the fence about picking this one up because of the seasonal theme, don’t be. It’s flexible enough to fit into any campaign as a standalone adventure, regardless of the time of year. Definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while!

I picked this up during the New Year New Game sale and figured I’d run it right away, and I'm glad I did. This adventure was an absolute hit with my group. From the layout to the engaging story, everything about it felt top tier.

The plot offers a great mix of mystery and action, giving the players plenty of room to make choices that actually matter. The final battle was especially intense, with everyone feeling the weight of their decisions leading up to it. My players were on edge the whole time, and it made for such a satisfying ending.

The design of the product is really well done, and the AI artwork didn’t bother me at all. I know some people get hung up on the use of AI Artwork in modules, but honestly, it didn’t affect the quality of the product in any way. The art fits the tone perfectly and complements the story.

There are also great tools for DMs, like well-developed NPCs and detailed locations that make prepping for the game super easy. I really appreciated the two versions of the final map since it gave me options for how I wanted to run the last encounter.

This was such a good purchase, and running it so soon after picking it up made it feel even more worth it. If you’re looking for something fun and easy run, this adventure is definitely worth checking out!
