The Glitter Grimoire is o.k. funny, but has real value as a source of peculiar spells. Some of them are genuinely good. I don't mean strong (although they can be), I mean, the casting of the spell was the highlight of the play session good. A wizard of mine has used "Conjure Obedient Goose" to great effect. Helping to cement his reputation as an excentric but very skilled wizard with a penchant for ritual spells. "Yarn Bomb" has been te go to spell in big fights for a bard played by a friend of mine. I haven't used "Tasha's Tantalizing Tea Room" yet, but I have high hopes.

The Glitter Grimoire is gorgeous and I love so much.

This is the kind of thing that 5e needs more of. The book is unique for sure, the art is wonderfully evocative, and the spells are a mix of useful as well as being jokey. This is PERFECT if you have the kind of player that likes making puns and dumb jokes at the table, or for someone that wants to have a bard who just makes dumb jokes. Ontop of all of this the cover is a Lisa Frank nightmare, I love it, I may have bought the book just for the cover.
