GUX Phantom Earth War vol 2 is the second of three moduals set in the midst of a battle taking place in and around a shadowy, earth-like world. Vol 1 contained a slew of details about ShadArk, the evil behind the terrors of Phantom Earth and his minions. In Vol 2 the heroic players in the story are revealed as well as information on what is being done to try to stop ShadArk's plans.

The heroes presented are both new and familiar. Jays takes several time-tested tropes, ranging from the venerable leader/power granter to the resistance fighters dealing with things 'on-the-ground', and give enough detail to make them feel more like a part of the setting over just a bundle of stats and numbers.

As with all of Jay Parker's G-Core supplements there are plenty of characters presented, but the story doesn't have to revolve entirely around them. There is plenty of room for player-made characters and stories within the greater scope of things.
