First of all: The whole Series is a nice Introduction for new players in dnd. ARCON 01,02,03, CONMAR 01, are great adventures, who give a lot of social interacting, with less but brave fights and a great story to play. One Thing i would change, was the order in ARCON 02, because it feels "weird", after all the trouble to enjoy the end...but this is another feedback.

CONMAR 01-02 is a Adventure with an awsome start, where my party said: "it felt like T3, and it was challenging as hell". Sadly, for my party, it still felt like T3 at the End of the Adventure, where the Dungeonmaster should take note on the partys strength and weakness to adjust on the fly. Further more, i will ask players to pick up the NPC´s as Sidekicks, if they´re not in the situation to handle the fight by them self, so this would be a solution to save the fun for everyone.

The Area itself was great for the players. They enjoed beeing in hell in Tier 2, another Realm to explore and learn something about the structure´s there. It was fun to bargain with devils for me as dm, as well for the players with different kinds of Contracts and social interactions with the devils. Thanks to Appendix A from Baldurs Gate: Descent to Avernus, available in this adventure. I can just reccoment using it and think about rewarding players for outstanding roleplay. ("Do you have this contract on common aswell?" - "Sure, i´ve got".... he summons a commoner with the infernal contract "on" his skin)

I think you also have to take care about your players, and ask them before something like that happens, just to make sure, everyone feels comfortable, but it is very handy.

There is one thing i was not able to give my players: How did Allissa and the other NPC´s come to Stygia? - And, there´s a mistake in the Adventure, as i talked with Martine Lassen: "Allissa Beltbuckle has summond the adventurers...." and later on Strange Magics. "Allissa does not control all her spells. she has no idea who she summond the heroes,.."... that would be "how she summond".

But i also like the reason that Geryon, the Former Ruler of Stygia could have summond them to start some trouble in Stygia, what be reasonable for the Conclusion and something Levistus will/would do....

The Area Effects were pretty nice to play, but also hard to handle for unexperienced Dm´s, because its a lot of stuff to navigate through. Overall: there´s stuff you have to keep in mind, about your partys fun you should adjust on the fly, without letting them know, that you´re doing it, because its an awsome adventure. The Feeling is Great, but the Challenge is big, so keep that in mind, and all of you will have hellish fun in this adventure :)

Thank you for taking the time to play and review this adventure! I love to hear that the adventure feels like hell, it certainly means I've managed to get that across. I agree that Geryon very well can have his role to play, haha!

Linric's shenanigans is an important part of the Oar's rest series, and following the ARCON and CONMAR modules, you may know him from earlier. Or this may be your first time to get in touch with the halfling couple also including his wife, Alyssa, and you will want to know more. A module with options for various paths, exploration, mystery and combat. What else do you need?

Whilst I havent had the chance to run it it is very much on my to do list. The final version improves greatly on the few flaws encountered during play testing and in some ways it has similarities to my favourite dnd adventure (DDEX2-10 cloaks and shadows) despite dropping the players in hell with no chance to even realise where they are before everything kicks off it gives the players the chance to decide how they are going to apporach the situation (the first combat even has suggestions for if the players decide to side with the devils!) before offering up 3 routes towards the goal giving it a good level of replayability. The final combat also has a fun mechanical feature added which rewards players who have sought out information and decided to act upon it, the sort of situation that is usually only rewarded by begging the dm! And despite the limited options available to the writer regarding magic items she made it feel unusually personal and special for an item! Also as a note im pleased to see an adventure that offers the chance to play dragonchess or 3 dragon ante and includes rules for the games beyond just straight intellegence checks!

(as a disclaimer I was one of the playtesters so played the earlier versions of this adventure and havent played the published version but I have read it and am looking forward to running it for a different group!)

Thank you for taking the time to review! I appreciate the feedback (as always). The playtesting was very constructive and I am proud that the intentions of the module are visible and valued. I find the magic item very intersting, and having groups play around with it during the adventure is always a blast! Hope you update me when you've had the chance to run it too, I love hearing how different DMs and groups handle the challenges.

This adventure is fantastic! The module is well written and easy to read, it offeres enough information that you dont have to fill in the blanks but also gives you the tools to expand on it if you would like. The story is broken into parts that you can run as a whole adventure or take bits and pieces. Part of that tool kit I mentioned in action, the autor offers many oprotunities for the players to take charge of what direction the story is going which allows for multiple play thoughs with a bit of variety each time you run it. The story is cohesieve and offeres a few "Ah-ha!" moments as you and the players discover what is going on. This adventure is extremely enjoyable offering laughs, creative roleplay, and an environment to have fun. I highly reccomend this adventure and also CCC-CONMAR01-03 Pharmacist Wanted Which offers the characters a change to forge a bond with the main NPC's of this advanture Allisa and Lincric Beltbuckle.

Below are my notes from my inital play thourgh with some feedback from my players.

> So MUCH enjoyment! For both the players and the DM. > The adventure in my opinion is streamlined and gives you plenty of information to build upon or just give out at face value, which allows for some versatility in implementation of the adventure into other games or as a stand alone. The details and descriptions are expressed well and create a scene people can easily follow. The adventure reads well and makes sense, content wise I would say this mod is a strong adventure and has an equally strong and engaging story. > > I really like the option to allow players to pick and choose how to go about the adventure (either teaming up with Allissa, or the Protagonist), at the same time allowing the GM to throw in and take out what ever they want. > > My players feed back: They liked coming across slaughter fest combat at the start. It made the whole adventure feel ominous, The variability in exploration combat and RP was well balanced. > ending is good. Riddle was confusing (which is a plus in my opinion as a dm.) Favorite CCC that played they have played so far > -over all good time. puzzle was difficult but fun, liked the visual representations of the setting thorught adventure.

Over all this adventure has a strong writing style and conveys a lot of information without being too wordy. It paints a picture just vivid enough to allow the DM and Players to create a rather dark but light hearted setting. This adventure is easy to read, understand, play and run. My favorite part is allowing for choice and allowing the characters to spear head the adventure. which allows for some fun and variety when running as a dm
