We ran it today and both myself and my players really enjoyed themselves, this is a fun little tournament to fit in pretty much anywhere! I played it with a group of 4x lvl 6 players, so I appreciated the suggestions on how to scale up the encounters. I definitely recommend picking it up, especially for a group with newer players in it!
I just have some minor feedback for the author on errors/conflicting information I noticed in file 1312823-Tournament_of_Tokens
SPOILERS
- In room 4, the spiders' stats say they are "large" creatures, so they don't technically both have enough room to fit in the room side-by-side like it implies they would be. (Seems like they were meant to be "medium" instead?)
- The individual tests (room 6) were confusing to figure out which room was what. The blue quote box says, 'From left to right the words are "Strength", "Finesse", "Intellect", "Bravery", "Charisma"'. So, it's missing the 6th room, Devotion. Also, they're named out of order, from what I could tell based on the map it should be (from left to right): Strength, Intellect, Devotion, Bravery, Finesse, Charisma.
- The Charisma individual test states there are 2 statues of bugbears that are 10ft apart with the door in the middle. None of the 6 rooms on the maps are 3 squares wide nor have statues inside them to accurately depict this.
- The Clockwork Dragon is described as "huge", but the stat block says it's a "medium" creature
- The description of the clockwork dragon's gem in its chest mentions that it's stat block gives details on how it's cage/gem/key situation works, but no information on that was in the stat block (or anywhere else as far as I could tell). So, we got the key but I didn't know what was meant to be inside nor how to open the gate.
A map without the numbers on it would be super appreciated as well!
