I've been playing the titles from 5E Solo Gamebooks for a while now. I loved the other gamebooks and I love this title too. I used to play Lone Wolf as a kid and these games remind me of those old game books. Solo Skirmish has great replay value and a simplicity I love. As a kid I would have gone crazy for this game.

I run a weekly 5e game with a group but I also get a lot out of trying builds and interesting characters. I randomised the PCs' stats with 4d6 drop lowest straight down and ended up with some pretty unique characters.

Love your work and I look forward to trying out all of these as they come out.

So, at the suggestion of my eldest kid, I created a pair of adventurers (A Half-Orc Barbarian called Gadur and his human chum, Mirish, a good natured grave cleric of the Raven Queen) and by the end of the fifth quest I have two, well rounded, level 6 characters, with loot and gear, and emerging personalities and ever emerging backstories and personality quirks that are just ready for a TTRPG, or more Solo Skirmishes. (hint, hint)

The format established by this system is good for a free afternoon or morning when you just need to get your d&d fix, or for a day's worth of powering through with a friend. (there are even rules for playing with up to four others, so could be a fun cottage weekend getaway type thing)

I find playing with others helps keep me a little more honest with my dice roles. ^_~

My son and I are playing though this now, and have completed the first 3 quests.

We're having a great time with a Cleric/Paladin party!

So far, our character choices have worked out well, with only one character having fallen to 0 hit points in battle (a first round critical hit from an upcast spell attack).

The only real rules oddity I've noticed is an odd mechanism for determining surprise. In "normal" D&D, it seems like most combats occur with nobody being surprised, but our understanding of these rules is that almost all combats should have one surprised side. Because of this, we have had many combats in which one side gets to take a round and a half worth of turns before the other side. I think we will be working on a house rule to make surprise less likely on both sides.

I'm looking forward to the next round! Maybe we will play through with several parties. :)

Just finished the 2nd quest in Solo Skirmish - The Cult of Mol'Goroz and I am convinced that this is the best solo product so far. The way that each location is broken up into an Exploration, Combat, and Hero phase is genius! By the second location of the of first quest, the events of the exploration phase were weaving together to form an actual narrative. This narrative made the combat phase meaningful and not just some random battle. Omg the Hero phase actually gives Divination spells a purpose in solo play, thank you! Seriously, the way you use Divination spells in the Hero phase can be adapted to a normal game of D&D and your players would probably start using Divination spells a lot more. The whole experience felt less like solo play by entry number and more like DMing using story seeds. This method of solo play applied to the pre-written WotC stories would be game changing. I cant wait for the next installment of this story.
