Superline four: Hell?s Belles is the latest in the Superline series that provides support for the Mutants & Masterminds (2nd edition) game. It is a collection of several articles and two adventures.

The articles in this issue include:

?Because you Demanded It? by Steve Kenson (author of M&M for those who do not remember the name) which introduces the Variable Power which can be used to simulate powers that can change between (or during) adventure. Variable Power can be used to construct gadgeteering heroes and villains, power mimics, and more. Advice is given to Games Masters on how to cope with the flexibility of Variable Power and several examples of how the power can be constructed for use.

?Big Al?s Used Vehicle Emporium? presented a variety of transport options for heroes and villains, including ?The Skull Boat? and ?The Gnat Copter.? ?New Headquarters Features? provides, well, new headquarters features. ?Improving the Arsenal? provides way to improve your weaponry, especially useful for villains equipping their minions. ?Demonic Minions? providing templates so that you can quickly and easily unleash the agents of pure evil upon those pesky heroes.

The two adventures are:

?Hell?s Belles,? which provides a set of villains, six female demons who have assumed the form of bikers. They are very powerful (Power Level 12 each) and capable of an enormous amount of destruction, several ideas of how they were summoned and how they can be banished. The use of the Belles in a game is very open ended with a variety of scenario seeds included.

?Crisis on the High Seas? is a much more linear adventure placed on a cruise liner with a shark-powered villain, Thresher (Power Level 11).

Superline 4 is a good addition to the resources available for a M&M games master.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Kenson's article, fun artwork.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Very Good<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Satisfied<br>

A full cover Mutants and Masterminds 2E compatible product that covers a lot of ground. I have no serious complaints about this product, and see it as an improvement over previous releases in this magazine series, which is very impressive considering Ronin Arts' dedication to quality.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Full color was very nice. The centerfold was a nice touch, and reusing the headshots for the characters was for once a great way to use the art again. The Kenson article was much more meaty this time around, and can be used immediately - a good look under the hood at Variable Powers as well as something players can use in the form of the Gadget Power. The vehicles were neat, as were the headquarters features. Full color was a great addition to the line.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: I do wish the Hell's Belles had more individuality. As it is, they are six of the same character with different personalities. The would take space, surely, but I'd appreciate it. The vehicles section was good, but perhaps could have been presented more compactly. The HQ features were good, but I'm biased in that I like a little more rules-meat to one or two of them. These, however, are niggling concerns. Overall, this is a highwater mark for Superlink products, especially a magazine. I plan on using a lot of this product, and will buy this one in print.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

I'm glad you enjoyed it. The vehicles are specifically designed for us as a player character's vehicle so we presented the vehicles, each illustrated, one to a page so that a GM or player could print just a single page.

I just picked up Superline #4 yesterday (using a nifty coupon I earned by purchasing Issue #3!), and so far I'm pretty happy! The sultry cover art is a bit weird, honestly, but the contents are just as good as ever. The adventure advertised on the cover (as well as a... centerfold?) is pretty straightforward, but accomplishes what it needs. The article by Steve Kenson has an excellent preview of next year's Mastermind Manual, the new features regarding Headquarters and Vehicles are outstanding. A second adventure, Crisis on the High Seas, is much more to my liking than Hell's Belles, and I hope to include it in a campaign in the very near future. The artwork is back with a vengeance in Issue #4, the best I've seen from the series since Issue #1, and this time in full color.

I am a Superline fan for life, I think.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

In a word, the Superline series is FANTASTIC!

This issue includes a sneak peak at Variable Powers by Steve Kenson, 2 enjoyable adventures, and a few articles that would help any game master of player of M&M.

<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The first adventure is a sequal to a previous Superline adventure, though that isn't necessary to play this new one as details on how to run it cold are included.

Both adventures are complete and detailed, with everything you need to run it right at hand.

Illustrations in the PDF are good, in colour and completment the adventures and articles nicely.

The price is what really grabbed me. For around 6 bucks, this is a steal.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Nothing to be honest.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

Grezat job guys keep up the good work.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The layout, the pics, the humor.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: The length it needs to be longer. More adventers, more artilces and more centerfolds.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>
