Now this is something I have never seen before! Real photography for practically anything the DM could need to describe during the game. Every NPC has a real face to go along with a lovingly crafted description. Even the town guards have a picture in full gear. The adventure itself is efficient in length but there is certainly a sense of real mystery and ultimately a true danger to confront (a very creepy one too). One of the included side missions is a real joy and I think almost any party would adore the new NPC it introduces. I can see this adventure as the perfect starting point for a frontier campaign with Clorehaven being an ideal home base for an adventuring group. The incredibly detailed inhabitants of the village are just asking to be used again and again for all kinds of further adventures!

Within minutes of opening this adventure I was telling myself "Wow, now this is how you create a setting!" My excitement did not stop there. Two rich, living cultures are real stars in this adventure and should really give the adventuring party a lot to think about. Misunderstandings and long growning predjudices between the main factions provide limitless possibilities for roleplaying to suite any group of adventurers and the highly detailed descriptions of important NPCs will fuel any DM's creativity. This adventure will take your players far away from the usual venues of the Sword Coast and into the real unknown. The environment alone can kill but there are a few new and BRUTAL creatures that will really test the skills of every party. Oh...and that the legendary treasure horde? It had me wide eyed and envious of any party that can get their hands on it!

Days of Blight: An Offering of Innocents

Just reading through the module has left me with the constant sounds of falling rain in my head and a cold chill on my arms. This is such a terrifically dreary setting that lends to the horror of the story perfectly. As a DM who loves to see his players anxiously leaning over the table trying to get closer to my voice while I describe the details of a scene I know this adventure will deliver. Furthermore, this isn't just a railroad run right into the big bad guy's lair, the village in the setting is alive and the interactions between each of the residents are powerful and intricate. None of the NPCs are just a stat line! They each know their neighbors and the hopeless desperation of these wretched townspeople really shows when the story comes into its stride. 5/5 stars from this DM.
