I have just finished reading this and while I am pleased overall, I did notice a decently large amount of spelling and gramatical errors. Something I should not be seeing as far as I am concerned. At least not in this amount. Other than that I was pleased overall with the artwork (some was just a bit too simplistic). The layout was great, well organized and consistant. Even with it's faults, I would still recomment this product for lovers of Ravenloft.

Overall, I REALLY like this book and I am glad I bought it even though it is currently only in PDF form. It is well written and adds some depth to spelljamming vessels that WoTC simply failed to provide. I would absolutely suggest this as a buy for anyone interested in the Spelljammer game. That being said, it does have some faults. First, a lack of art showing what many ships look like. Second, many entries do not even provide deck plans. Third, the layout is a little wonky. As in ships added in later editions are just tagged on the end instead of inserted in the "alphabetically" appropriate places. Last, the hyperlinks to outside sources is nice, but can be problematic if you don't have an internet connection.
In the end I REALLY hope this book is made into a P.O.D. item and fully intend to buy it again, but only if the above issues are fixed.

Good book. The only way I can suggest an improvement would be to expand it. Less "tables" and more story telling would be great too. I get that they are trying to be generic, but just like when I buy a burger, I don't want plain, I want all the seasonings and toppings. I can always choose to throw away what I don't like.

Good book overall. I like the whole celtic/viking feel of the Moonshaes and this gives me more of what I like. I just wish they had expounded upon things more instead of giving the bare bones. The maps are GREAT, but it would have been nice to get maps of the dwarven realms of the Undershaes too. The cover art on the front was great but the back cover was wanting. Inside the art, not including the maps, went from lack luster to plain.

So let me say this is cute and fun. The art was pretty much as I expected and the I was impressed by how well it was written, though there really is not a lot of text, just some fun comments mostly. My disappointment is in that several entries referenced back the the Monster Manuel but with an added ability instead of giving the full stats AND the price is pretty steep for what we get. If I could recommend anything, it would be to expand this pamphlet to a full sized book and double or even triple the content. Go for a full listing of possible familiars (with full stats of course), both published by TSP and homebrew like you have, but keep the cute and fun format.

So, I got this book yesterday and had to tear into it immediately I was so excited. Overall, I think it is a decent product. I did have a couple problems with it. First, the digital art was subpar. Normally I wouldn't react to this, art is really subjective after all, but it was bad enough I think it should be mentioned. Second, I found a LOT of grammatical issues. Misspellings were rather rare, but the double words, missing words, and just poorly worded sentences really stood out. Third, the author mentioned in the very beginning that he likes animal shaped ships so I was expecting it, but not to the extent I saw. It almost seemed to detract from the ships in the end. Escpecially when the themes overlapped ships already published. Fourth, the shear size of some of the ships bothered me. Planet colonizing size instead of sticking to the historical size limits. Let's create ships for thousands instead? Tens of thousands? Heck, why not a Spelljamming planet? It just felt clunky to me.
So what would I recommend to make a better product? Start by fixing the grammar errors first and formost. Then look at getting someone to do some original art for you at least the quality of the original 2e cardstock ships. Last look at reworking your largest ships into something more in character with the game. Huge ships did exist, but they were rare. The largest was even unigue (The Spelljammer itself). Good luck, I think this product has a lot of promise.

MMs are my love and this is as close as I can see to perfect as far as I am concerned. Well written, excellent editting. The art is really good, just not to my taste overall, but I can forgive that easily. Solid 4.9 out of 5.

After a thorough reread and several backchecks, I have had to readjust my initial review. This book is superb. The perfect companion book for Eberron. It adds to all the lore of the world without contradicting itself and gives so much depth. The only thing that worries me is the binding. Not sure how well it will hold up to prolonged and repeated use. 5 out of 5 for content though.

Wow. Just wow! Love this book! The depth of the world, and its people, it opens up in Sarlona is excellent.

This is basically a planetary highlight document with no specifics for any planet. Very basic. Good to give ideas on where to start to do the real work of fleshing out a planet, but that is about all.

Solid piece of work. Well written and lots of good ideas. I would have prefered better artwork, but I bought it knowing the art was less than prime so it doesn't bother me a bit. Solid 4.5 out of 5.

Excellent source book. I like the way the formating was changed from the first edition. Well written and plenty of obvious research from preivious edition sources. Loved the Avariel race added in the elf section. It would have been nice to see a little more "original" additions like this though. Solid 4.75 out of 5 for me.
