A piece of history!
As a long time Star Fleet Battles player (I started in the early 90s), it was fun to see the original game and how it developed.
More of a novelty that anything, but fun!

A nice intro to Federation Commander before investing in the main game.
Everything you need to play is here.
Also, a good way to introduce new players.

A nice intro to Star Fleet Battles.
Start with this if you aren't sure about the game yet.
Not a bad way to introduce new players either.

Probably the most complicated game I've ever played.
You'll need to look up rules... a lot!
But, I learned this game with my brother as a 12 year old. With enough love for space combat and Star Trek, you might have the motivation to learn it. (We made a lot of mistakes along the way!)
It is a very rewarding and tactically interesting game if you put in the time... But it does take a lot of time!

Overly complicated.
Almost no pictures.
The author rambles and uses unnecessarily complex language in order to sound smart. Instead you get a clunky RPG that promisses a lot and delivers little.
I bought it because it's often concidered a classic. I can't see myself ever actually playing this.

An improvement on Mothership..
But, for a space RPG, I think the best bet out there right now is "Death in Space"

I really want to like "Traveller"...
But, the rules are so dense and unnecessarily complex.

Awesome!
Very cool art.
A simple old school style space RPG.
The backstory is also excellent.
We need more space RPGs like these!

Wasn't a huge fan...
I think this game gets more credit than it deserves.
There are some cool ideas though.

Great simple game!
This is what I play with my family.
The D6 mechanics are easy to explain and understand.
I apreciate a complete game that's complex enough and interesting, yet still fits in a small book!

What an Amazing RPG!
There are so many inovations here.
The extras included are also awesome!
The drawbacks for me, is that progression is very equipment based.
But, there is a lot to like here!

Everything you need to be a player in Index Card RPG.
This is what you refer your players to after you buy the Master Edition!

Yes!
If your groupd insists on playing 5e, but you'd prefer to play a more old school game: see if you can get everyone on board with "Hardcore Mode"
It fixes a lot of problems I have with 5e..
I'd rather just play an old school game, but "Hardcore Mode" is a good comprimise.

Cool ideas here!
equipment makes your characters, much like the old Ultima games.
Well worth reading!

Helps with the FATE system.
Personally, I've tried and couldn't make the FATE system work for me.
But, if you like FATE, this could help a lot.
