This isn't just another Runequest adventure; it's a deep dive into esoteric concept of illumination. Reading it was an absolute pleasure a genuinely thrilling, fascinating and intellectually stimulating experience from start to finish. The use of artwork is "top drawer" and the whole thing is stylishly laid out with real panache. Andrew Montgomery has found his apara dharma. Six stars

I bought the hardcover the other day and got the free PDF. I was a bit nervous and unsure about it initially thinking what are they gonna do differently…..but…..these guys have done an incredible job giving this product a new lick of paint that makes the content really come to life …clearer and more defined. The whole thing is a labour of love. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good tbh. Look I don’t have any “Skin in the game” … if you love the original I would definitely recommend you get the hardback edition without a shadow of a doubt it’s like seeing an old friend come to life again….

This book is everything I love about Glorantha. Ambitious, enlightening, original, challenging. The artwork throughout the book is pretty phenomenal and the whole thing is a real feast for the senses. It;s a work of art that keeps you coming back for more. it doesn't get much better than this!!!

Wow!! You want detail? You got detail! Simply everything you need is here. As a GM who's players are currently within the Grazelands what I like about this is that all the info I need is here......I don't have to make up clan names, think abut the culture, devise NPCs or fathom out exactly what a place is like. Invaluable!!

Really invaluable information for running a campaign in the Grazelands in the surrounding areas. John was kind enough to share this in it;'s alpha state as my campaign entered the Grazelands. I used it to simulate the 1615 Lunar Invasion of the Grazelands and after to travel down to the Smoking Ruins. I found it's contents invaluable. The details and artwork are superb

Wow what a campaign you could run with this supplement and all the other Holiday Dorastor supplements. I purchased Chaosiums Dorastor Land of Doom when it came out but never managed to run anything there having spent most of my early RQ days as a PC adventuring in Balazar/Elder WIlds. There's a lot of nostalgia here for me as it covers the Renekotling clan in some details and has stats for some of the main movers and shakers in the area like Oddi the Keen, Hakon The Swimmer etc. Detailed Character generation, locations, magic items and scenarios..... an awesome extra rules section .....(I really love the Sacred Mountain stuff). If you put all the releases in this series together you could run a "mega campaign" or possibly segue Risklands into an existing campaign very easily. Stormspearia do all the hard work so you don't have to. It's a work of love and is a pleasure to read.....releases like this are what brought me back to Glorantha after a long hiatus.....top drawer....

Thanks for the great review, Antony, I hope you enjoy Adventuring in Dorastor as much as your Players do!
My hope is to make Dorastor eventually have as many scenarios available as Prax or Sartar. |

This is really really good and builds on the other 2 books (which are also great too!). The series brings the Korolan Isles to life. Before this series I basically had zero interest in the East Isles. Just some far away dots on the other side of the lozenge. These books really bring the place to life with so much careful thought and detail….so much so that I can now taste the salt in the air and long to become a pirate aboard The Sea Parrot….lash myself to the rigging , laugh in the face of a tropical storm…,buckle me swash and set sail for adventure…ooh super art and maps too …love the style…top job! Can’t wait for Book 4!

To quote John Ruskin "Quality is never an accident, it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution. Well I can sincerely state that this supplement offers both quality and quantity. A great scenario in 4 easy to follow acts, 3 interesting detailed sub plots!, player handouts (loving rended by Dario Corallo), map of westernTarsh, details of 57 "Dramatis Personae", encounter tables, weather, rumour tables, Gazateer Of The Hydra Mountains, assorted myths and tales. handy GM advice sections, history of 9 clans with maps, over 100 pages of stat blocks and even an adapted Neil Young song!! ... it's so clearly laid out and detailed that even I could run this easily with the minimum of prep time ...and all for a mear £12.42!!! Peter Hart has obviously fumbled his Evaluate Roll! Grab it before he realises and puts the price up. Madness.....

Utterly brilliant. Played through this in my campaign and we had a great time. Two of my players now have Straw Weaver Bison wives (one has 2) with babies on the way! This scenario really captures the essence of Prax, shamanism and community. Its great fun to play and provided me as GM with loads of further scenario hooks, plots, sllies, enemies for the future.....it did all the hard work so I dont have too ....hurrah!

Snow is cold, this is great. If JTC releases are as good as this then who cares if Chaosium don't release anything before Xmas. Salvatix the Sober gives Biurian Varosh a run for his money. Great appetiser ...can't wait for the main course......"In the midst of chaos there is also opportunity" Sun Tzu (

You always get "bang for your buck" with Mr Kirshtein/Phipp (insta buy) and this release is no exception....plot hooks, tons of detail, extra spells....mystic dances (superb). In truth I'm not a very artistic man and it seems to be a bit of a cliche these days to complement the artwork on supplements (ok they are normally technically very good). Saying that the artwork on this project particularly resonated with me....to me it's the best cover art of any supplement I've seen this year....
