I had high expectations for a product from veteran designer James and witch-artist extraordinaire Kayla, but Hagmalgams exceeded my wildest dreams! These hag hybrids are charming as well as unsettling, and are perfect for surprising unsuspecting players with a new friend...or foe.

Digging it. A nice spectrum of evocative and flavorful monsters, runnable both for their unique personas and mythos backed up with well structured stats blocks and abilities across multiple tiers. Gonna be fun using these in my games :)

Hilarious and serious, ugly and cute, good and evil. Hagmalgams is a land of contrasts in the best way possible. James's game design is in peak form, as is Kayla's inimitable art style.

When James Introcaso and Kayla Cline team up on a project it’s like when Batman visits Metropolis and he and Superman team up to beat up Lex Luthor.  Except James and Kayla aren’t beating up Gene Hackman, they’re beating up the bored players at your table.  I mean their boredom.  Not the players themselves.

Listen, weird metaphor aside, this is a great supplement with some very cool creatures and some very cool art. If you’re looking to mix things up with some really funky monsters and their accompanying pictures (which, by the way, you will absolutely show your players because just explaining what they look like isn’t enough), this is the best $1.95 you can spend.  Perfect for a Valentine’s Day or love themed session, or just perfect for when you want to get silly.  I hate lair actions but these are at least original and fun, I will appreciate the thought put into them even if I don’t plan to use them.

A great monster mashup of two opposite kinds of creatures that provide not just unique combat encounters but also unique role playing situations. The Hagmalgams span a wide ranges of CR levels as well as Lair and Regional effects are provided for each Hagmalgams. Favorite special abilities can't wait to use the Crushing Confession by the Hagasus on some players. I've wanedt to use a Bheur Hag for quite sometime but its now been taken over by its Hamalgram verison of the Hagbear!!!!!! Great Artwork is included for each Hamalgram. A must buy for those who want something unique, fun, and memorable!!!!!

Not only does it contain delightfully unique monsters with a lot of personality, you also get the templates and guidance needed to crerate you own versions so you can easily fit it into your own campaign. Hagosaurus anyone?

James has a fantastically creative and whimsical mind and once again, it shows in thiswork! I love having new creatures to challenge and surprise my players with and this supplement doesn't disappoint!

The art is fun and the book is well laid out to allow the DM to easily access relevant information. IF you are looking for a light hearted take on familiar creatures or a more serious challenge for your players, this is a great place to look!

James frequently puts interesting, over-the-top spins on fantasy. This time, he's taken a tweet from Jeremy Crawford on hags and unicorns, and tossed both creatures into a blender to create something truly twisted! These emotionally torn creatures are a great choice if you're looking to shake things up and possibly shock your players. You could place a hagmalgam in a particularly large dungeon, such as Halaster's Undermountain, or perhaps work them into the laboratory of a mindflayer or beholder, such as the Xanathar. There are hags mixed with octopi, hollyphants, and some cool rules for creating celestial animals.

All of the hagmalgam art by Kayla Cline is spectacular, but the standout piece for me is the hagicorn. After all, isn't that where this all started?

This is such a unique and fun group of creatures to add to your campaign. My group really enjoyed the fact that it wasn't your normal, run of the mill monster encounter. The lair/environmental effects provide some great flavor, and the creature abilities (just wait till you get to use the Hagasus' Crushing Confession!)

But don't just toss them in as battle fodder, really play them up as the mix of good and evil, the internal battle for control. Those RP mood swings make for some great and memorable encounters.
